Teflon Coating
Am not sure If this is covered in previous posts, But I just wanna know if this Teflon coating is really worth the money ? It costs about 450 Rs. Will it increase the shine or durability of the paint or is it all just a waste of money?
Every time I give my bike for service, the service people will ask me if I wanna do Teflon coating for the bike.Comment

1st of all, most of the parts of FZ are of plastic... Hence, the paint fading away is a remote possibility. You just need to coat your beauty with a little bit of wax polish once a week or 2. I would recommend one thing though.. please do consider nickle plating the nuts and bolts... as i am witnessing rust formation on one of them on me bike.Originally posted by sathishholla View Post

guys ... bike giving me problems AGAIN ! ... yesterday while on my way to vijaynagar , at a signal i turned off the ignition but it kept on trying to crank with the ignition OFF ... like when you try to hotwire it ... after a while the entire elecricals and bike just shutdown ( AGAIN ) near Mantri square ...
So since this has happened before I knew what to do ... I opened the side cover ( RHS ) and then just whacked the round module there , just above the fuse and after a few hits it kicks back to life ... it happened again today , where the electricals just shut down ... and the same procedure worked again ... But it's pissing me off BIG time ...People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

^^ dude i'm sick of SVC , I know how those guys are , 1st tie i took it to them , actually called them up because i didn't know what happened ... so they came and took it and went and charged me 585rs for it and apparently they haven't done anything about it ... which is what is extremely annoying ... and also now the bike is running alright I can't explain what happened to them and if i do also they won't listen

Yell at them with the highest pitch. I bet within few mins your bike will be back to normal if you follow this.

Smoke...
Hi Everybody,
I have recently bought a FZ and i must say i am very happy with it. But i have noticed that when i start my bike with choke on, visible smoke comes out from the silencer which lasts for around half a minute. This generally happens during cold starts or starting after a considerable delay say 7-8 hours. After 30 seconds or so the smoke dissapears and i ride off, putting of the choke. On cold starts, I generally use the choke for around 1 minute and then another minute i let he bike idle without choke, then i ride off... Is this the correct procedure and is the smoke a normal phenomenon or something that i should worry about.
