I also didn't get any allen key with my toolkit when I bought my Fazer in January,2012. Then I demanded at the SVC,they gave it to me for free.

Filling Motul 7100 Fully Synthetic. Need 1.1 litres, right?

        One that fits!

(This thread is getting exhilarating - or profoundly saddening...depending on how one wants to look at it!)

Dude relax, your engine is fine, it's not made of butter
After the first service/oil change, engine will be smoother.

Check with the SVC in which 1st service is done....AFAIK they won't charge for the above issue, (Tat was the case in chennai SVC)

Note: hard gear shift is common for a new bike, I had the same problem for some 3-4k kms.
Rough engine: engine is a bit stressed/rough at 55-65 mark, common for fz series.
My bike feels so butter smooth at 45-50 then rough patch then again at 70kmph its butter smooth.
So, the problems you described are common but for piece of mind consult with svc guys. I don't think they will charge anything.

Hey man don't worry about that 7k RPM revving. Guys in Malaysia do take their babe to 8ks just after 100 kms. Factory bikes come with free tolerance so there won't be jamming and you can freely take the bike to 7ks without any problem. But I advise you modulate the throttle. Since you have already crossed 1000 kms. It's time to rip. All you need is to take care of the engine oil level. And also my personal advice to change engine oil early during the first 5000 ODO. I mean what I have done like changing engine oil at 200, 500, 1000, 2000, 3500, 5000 and I got great results. And about bike being bit hard, please don't worry about that it's normal in every bikes at certain range and there may be other factors. All I want to say is when you are with the pillion, please don't rev hard.

And if you think there is some manufacturing problem with the engine then you will get unusual sounds from the mill and both the mileage and pickup will decrease gradually. As you have one full year warranty so you don't need to worry about that. All you need is good knowledge of what is what.

                            Cheer Up!

there are 2 holes at the top of the sparkplug tool, Slot the screwdriver through the holes and use it to rotate the tool...
Yes did exactly that... But no matter how hard I try the spark plug doesn't budge a bit... tried both on a cold engine and warm (thought it might loosen up a bit but no use).

Finally gave up... Asked in few shops and none of them are ready to sell spanner handles separately. Guess I have to buy a new plug spanner now to get the handle...
Your pair of feet can tire you... Your pair of wheels can never tire you...
