my bike is overheating since last 1 month
i have checked airfilter, chain, and engine oil level.
prob was not solved in my recent 5th free service [done 10 days ago]. got the engine oil changed to motul 4T 5100 20W40 mineral. changed oil filter, svc guy added something called ADV oil with engine oil. but problem is still not solved.
bike gets too hot even in short rides [less than 1KM].
i have also noticed multiple 'click click' sounds from catcon when i turn the engine off. @ high rate [one of them @ 15-20 clicks / second
other one @ 7-10 clicks / sec ]
earlier it used to be single clicking sound @ 3-6 clicks/sec

Hi sorry, I misread your query.. Just get the speedo cable connection checked and the speedo sensor checked like others have mentioned..Originally posted by jonahmano View PostHope the speedo cable is faulty. Don't want to get the whole console replaced.

Avoid additives with engine oil.. Brands like Motul don't need any sort of additives... Your carb is definitely running lean, which is leading to engine overheating.. please get your carburetor tuning checked.Originally posted by hgps View Postmy bike is overheating since last 1 month

The best way to figure out lean tuning is to check the condition of your spark plug. It has already been discussed extensively on this thread along with diagrams of the various conditions of the spark plug means what.. A little googling or manual search of this thread will help.

This morning when I took my bike to office, the speedo started working and I expected it to be dead within some time but it didn'tOriginally posted by jonahmano View Post@ Shiv bhai,
This evening when I was riding suddenly speedometer turned 0 and after sometime it was working normal. After visiting a place and coming back again the speedometer was showing 0. And this 0 stayed for a long time and again in between it worked for say 0.5km and after that it turned 0 and never came alive. I found that speedometer, ODO Reading, Trip reading are not working
. RPM meter is working fine
and so does the fuel guage.
Dear do we have any DIY thing to sort this issue? And if take to the SVC guys, will they clear this issue immediately? I am going for a tour on saturday and wednesday. Feeling very sad. All my calculations and my homework upon my new bike has gone waste.

Please reply when you see this message
Thank You
Really in a confusion whether to wait and watch for some more time or take it to the service guys
. If take the active speedo the SVC then they will simply send me back with an excuse. Still can't understand what's the issue

It's better to check the cable, connectors and sensor. There may be some loose connections in the assembly.Originally posted by jonahmano View PostThis morning when I took my bike to office, the speedo started working and I expected it to be dead within some time but it didn't

light issues
hey dudes.....i having another issue...
we have 3 levels switch for lighting
1 - off
2 - only parking light and digi-console light turned on
3 - main headlights (low/high) + console + parking light turned on
the problem is when i try to turn on the main headlight, my parking light and my digital console lights get TURNED OFF.....i saw that when i move my switch back towards 2nd position(not completly) they are turned on again properly..... is it a switch problem??.....will i get a free replacement? i have not yet done my 1st servicing....
also i keep my bike outside for long time in rain...will it have any problem in the electricals or anythng??

Surely you will get free replacement or get repaired whatsover required but don't keep her in rain for a long time. By chance you are riding in rain that's different matter but don't put her deliberately in rain. I mean on stand still position. Take care of your babe, she is your asset.Originally posted by vimal_hbk View Posthey dudes.....i having another issue...

This exact same thing happened to me once yesterday and I dismissed it as a one-off issue. And my bike was not parked in the rain or anything. I had left it in my office basement parking.
Anyone else facing this or faced it??Your pair of feet can tire you... Your pair of wheels can never tire you...
