even i experience similiar proble. I ve travelled 5k kms on my bike so far. I also experienced this issue after getting my bike first service (a part of the reason for this may be that during run in period, we do not over strach accelerator too much).. the vibrations are still there and even without looking at the speedometer i can tell that i am driving somewhere about 4500 rpms since it is shaking a little. Some say its normal (peak torque causing a little sensation) but others like us are bothered and concerned.Originally posted by N-o-v-i-c-e View Post^^Thnx s and m for replying....you said it correct about the proprtional speed. But what i wanna say is it vibrates a lot after 4500 rpm in every gear....is that normal or should i get it checked??
Also the pads are constantly scraping the disc...any remedy for that????
Guys reply please...
Any 1.. Plz help

Some Queries
Hi Guys,
I have few queries -
1) What is the optimum tyre pressure for both front and rear tyre?
2) Is there something to worry about if once in a week i can smell something like oil burning? I even experience that sometime engine seems to be overworking and emmitting excessive amount of heat even during short rides.
3) How often should we check the tyre pressure?
4) Is it really required to have teflon coating or does it comes that way only (Im staying in pune and expecing healthy rainfall soon)
5) How should i take care of the chain during rainy season?SAVE TIME....SEE IT MY WAY

1. 28 psi frnt 33 rear i guess (cold) avoid filling after long ride... drive minimal before fillingOriginally posted by avneetrekhi20 View PostHi Guys,

2. normally a burning smell does come from my engine when i drive on the wet roads but I am told that its normal. all other times my engine smells fine. so check when it smells.
3. depends... i do it on each fill.. comes around weekly. but once in 2-3 weeks is also fine if you park in shade and drive easy.
4. Teflon coating is useless to my belief. I saw them doing on one bike n it looked as if they were doing a multi coat polishing... so i never showed interest in it. I wash n polish my bike weekly.
5. make sure to spray lubricant (chain spray) on to the chain after driving in wet conditions or a wash. adjust slackness as always. Clean if it gets too dirty. do this after every 500 kms tooKingdom FAR FAR away is where I wanna be...
But I can't find a road headed that way.

are u sure, cuz in that case Yamaha can be filed for a case of charging premium without declaring, i think either taxes in hyd reduced or something is wrong with pricing. Some dealer might give u 2008 model cheaper, i will ask mine tommorow.Originally posted by rockinggokul View Posthad been to an exhibition this afternoon where yamaha had a stall and guys guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FZS number plate.
Hey all,
I took delivery of a FZ s two days back and I love the bike to bits, it looks a dream handles like a beauty. But I have a problem with where the front number plate is placed on the bike.. Any of have ideas of placing it where it does not affect the look of the bike. And if I sticker on the front mudguard which would be the last option is it legal.. Really need advise.

I also hav this new F-S...
The no. plate on tis bike is placed on the black windshield ahead..
I no it does not look good
.. But ya its the only option
... Although u can mod the bike and put it under the headlight but tht is HIGHLY NOT ADVISABLE
... Becoz in speed if u wud apply disc brakes it wud break the front mudguard..
So the only option is the sticker
......
I hav also sticked a sticker on ma bike
...
I wud prefer to drive on the road to hell.. rather than flying to heaven...

You're right about putting it below the headlamp askyashumy friend, it would surelly end up damaging the front mudguard. Today an Idea flashed about fabricating a clamp and to use same nuts on the windshiled and kinda place the numberplate kinda between the headlamp and the windshield. I am hoping that will do the trick and will talk to some metal work guys abpout a clamp tomorrow. If that doeas not work out stickering is the option I guess, and I am still worried about the legality of the sticker.
@askyashu have you been stopped by the police about the sticker mate?"I set out running but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine. If I get home before day light, just might get some sleep tonight" - The Grateful Dead.

I heard that some dealers charge around 500 to 1000 on sale of every bike and they term it as their own margin of operation/profit. This is a widely spread thing. I have heard about it everywhere even city to city within a state and within metro cities like mumbai also you will find the pricing different.Kingdom FAR FAR away is where I wanna be...
