did it just behave like that one fine day? same thing happened with my bike... the previous night, it was fine, n the next afternoon, its dying, idling at a higher than usual mark, dying in neutral, and while riding, unnecessarily spiking the rpm....

some1 had fumbled arnd with the bike and messed with the choke setting.. my roommate checked it out n picked up problem instantly (apparently some1 had messed with his new bike a while back too).. the choke was pulled halfway. if thats the problem, set it back to its normal position....

i want to know whether we can fix K&N filter in fzzz......as i hav got dec 08 fz,,,,,,,i hav completed 5000km,,,,i just want to add more power to my bike.......will the bikess bhp will raise frm 14 to 17.......and will there be any lack in bikezz mileage....

Guys i like to change the color of my FZ16...
there are two types of colors in my mind,

1. Pearl white paint and the second one is interesting...

2. The Repsol honda color(like the unicorn)... i actually liked the color(but definitely not in a uni)...

i think coz of FZ's huge figure it will be nice to see the bike in that color... what say guys???

and if anybody has done the paint job on FZ like it pls post the pics...

^^I have seen a pearl white paint FZ in Xbhp site itself... Cant remember where but if i find ill post the pic...

And even i liked the repsol paint job.. Although it looked really bad on the uni IMO... But anyways if u can find a good paintshop then go ahead with the repsol paint scheme... Although you will be using a honda repsol paint scheme on a yamaha

thanks prasanth i saw this pic and asked abt this in a workshop... he told it will be really good and he had done it for many bikes here in TVM(kerala)... but he told don't paint the rear alloy with white, coz it will become darkish/black and only use dark colors...

and others opinion pls...???

ya even yesterday my engine was not responding very well. I keep getting that miss in the throttle or acceleration. I was damm pissed off with the respond of my Monster.

When I did the continuous 3 days& nights, 900 kms trip the bike was performing fantastic, touching even 103kmph and no misfiring or problem at all! I had heated the engine before hitting the road at a faster speed with my XBHP members from Shillong. While going, there was all these problems, but while returning, the engine responded in a well-behave manner..

I guess the engine needs to be tunned properly. Well my meter reading is about 6500kms.

@K&N filter : I have a friend who fitted this filter & he responded that it increases the performance though it consumes a bit more fuel.
Dont know how much its true.

think they had an R1 of this scheme..for some anniversary celebrations..

Also, I think the problem you guys have mentioned about the engine dying-off seems pretty common..

I had been to a Yam SVC this morning.. Overheard 1 guy who had come in to give his FZ-16 for servicing.. He mentioned the same issue in his complaints list..

FZ-S is having a yellow black combination already. But you can change the way the graphics are.

I am 5 9 and 65 kgs weight but looks thin.

I guess this is the second time someone is being led astray regarding the purchase of FZ considering the height and weight.

Your choice is yours buddy. Go ahead with it considering the bike in terms of cc, bhp, weight, pickup and other criterias meeting your requirement. Dont get befooled by the showroom guy. Just go ahead if you like it. Self satisfaction matters a lot buddy.

Engine Problem: Yes yes yes! not just me, heard about it from two other guys also. but its not often, the problem of engine missing reduces with kms travelled. Mine occurs seldom and surely I do get pissed!

. But so far, its ok, no major issues.
