when we put 10 ltrs of fuel as compared to 1 lit the pressure in the jet is greater (using same principle as hydrostatic pressure) as the fuel is not pumped as in FI it only flows out of an overhead tap. This can possibly cause a greater flow rate of fuel out of the jet making the mixture richer. The carburettor works on the principle of sucking fuel by the flowing intake air and greater pressure in the fuel needle means greater fuel sucked out.
If the fuel tank is a cuboid, pressure due to 10 lt of fuel will be 10 times the pressure due to 1 lt of fuel. that to me sounds like the air-fuel mixture becomes significantly rich in a full tank situation.
I have a question ... this is the theory i have written... physics says so... is there something to check it? does it really happen...
in every bike i have seen a drop in mileage when the tanks are fuelled full.
This might not show in the pickup as richer mixture does not mean more and more power... it just means engine runs cool and more unburnt fuel.
can anyone device a way to check it guys?
innovation is the key i guess...
adding to this whats the max rpm pple have achieved in 5th gear I went to slightly over 8k rpm... i think intake or exhaust something gets restricting when volume of airflow increases... please comment on causes/remedies/upgrades, if possible other than changing filters/exhaust coz they are quite widely known.
one thing that is on my mind is removing the protective cover of the air filter and replace it with an open mesh. For new guys, increasing peak rpm in top gear could significantly mean increase in peak power and surely the top speed. just make the bike breath free...
i feel the engine in fz can do a lot more than it does presently n that too more efficiently...
Thanks

. The Traction of FZ tyres are not that good on Wet and slippery roads.... Skid 10 yards away on a turning when i over bended (though my fault also)...
.
. But sure at times my bike still gives that same problem you faced while going uphill. I could feel the acceleration and response of the bike normal initially. But when i reached 5th gear in FULL throttle while climbing a straight road which is a bit uphill i used to face some problem like a "miss", throttle doesn't seems to be responding instantly. For example: When I am in Full throttle in 5th gear with a Pilion and when i could feel my bike starting to slow down i begin to shift to 4th. But then after I changed the gear and leave the clutch, i could really feel the time taken by the bike to respond. This really pisses me off. it feels like a shortage of fuel!
. But this doesn't happen oftenly and only at times when climbing the same road...
