Duke, 200NS and Apache mirrors fit FZ without any mods.

Damn!! My front brake is just not letting me ride my bike with peace. Even after rubbing the disk pads with sand paper, the bite isn't there and after riding for about 100-120kms, the front brake starts making noise. Although, the noise isn't that much, but it remains untill I remove and rub the pads once again with sandpaper.

Also, I noticed that, the Brake Oil is just in between maximum and minimum mark. Untill now, I haven't faced such issue. Anything to be checked or anything alarming?

After i changed the front tyre, the pads are making squeaking noise. 😐 maybe the mech didn't align it properly. I haven't ridden since then, but it made the noise on the way back home.

Try replacing the pads for once. Keep the old pads with you if they have life left in them.

Ride safe and have fun.

Brake Pads are replaced few months back.

Few weeks back I had noticed that, when rotating the front wheel anticlockwise, there is a particular section where in the disk makes screeching noise and not in the whole disk. Now the screeching sound comes the wheel moves clockwise / anticlockwise.

The user manual says to replace the Brake Hose every 4 years. Is it really required or just a precautionary measure?

Hi Guys,

I own a fazer 2013 model, clocked in more than 44000 kms, the pick-up is very bad and there is quite an amount of black smoke form the exhaust when the rmp goes above 5 or 6.
The Mechanic says the engine has to be re-bored and the piston valve has to be replaced.

Am concerned about the re-boring part of the engine, has any once faced this issue.

Pls help me out!!

Hi,

U need to check spark plug first. Chk its condition, it will shows u abt Air-fuel mixture. If this ok, Then just clean carburetor if not did yet.

Open the engine at SVC and see yourself for any damage inside the Cylinder. If so, you might have to get the engine re-bored.

Exactly the same with me and it started after the wheel was removed. It must be due to slight misalignment while fitting back. Gotta get it checked soon.

i did a re-bore on my tvs-victor and it doesnt crosses above the 60kmph mark... this is one of the reasons am not interested in doing the re-bore.. if any one has done it on Fazer/Fz and the bikes still good please let me know

Don't go for rebore. Just change the stock block and piston kit.

As deep007 said, change the complete cylinder and piston kit. Much better and reliable than re-boring.
