I am trying to build more kms on my odo with yamalube before switching to another oil .. as I am at around 1910 kms

let me know your experience with sporty premium .. did you see any difference between optima prime and sporty premium yet?
Ohh good to see that you are finally in peace of mind. Why did he tell that they will open the engine?? I mean whats their intention of opening the brand new engine??
As i said optima prime is a SHIT oil it is only good for 700 kms max.
Were as the sporty premium as it is a FS good for atleast 3K kms max the gear shifts are better & the refinement levels are also best with this oil.
If you want to try the best oil for the FZ consider LIQUIMOLY oils i bet you wont regret your buying after using them.

yeah finally I have started to ignore the sound and sometimes engine roughness .. I think the engineer wasn't himself sure if it was actually a problem or normal fz engine sound .. he just gave like a generic answer to my question .. that they'll have to open the engine and see from where the sound is coming .. afterwards I asked about the sporty premium oil and he himself said all your sound related issues will be gone if you use a better quality oil

I am only sticking to yamalube just because of the warranty .. otherwise I would have shifted to liquimoly or motul in this service .. i also tried getting confirmation from yamaha customer care if using same grade other brand oil will void my warranty .. they simply said your warranty will be void

I dont trust yamaha mechanics also some people in the SVC doesnt even know to adjust the clutch play during the service.

In the next service ask them to use Sporty Premium. You can definetly feel the difference with your bike.

me too.. most of the issues we have are minor.. and the manual already lists the work to be done in a service.. but they want to service more bikes and increase their profits.. and hence many things are left and we eventually start having issues.. if it weren't for the warranty.. i would've never looked back at yamaha's svc after the first service.. their quality is pathetic.. after owning a ktm.. and dealing with both the companies.. yamaha might be a japanese brand but their service quality is no where near ktm's.. i would buy a ktm bike just for their service.. you won't believe even the engineer suggested me not to allow the mechanics to tinker with my bike as they are unskilled.. just change the oil, filter, minor service works and done

i'll make sure they put sporty premium .. also planning to put my bike on the fi station this time.. rest washing and chain lubing i'll do myself after service at home

I bought the rc just out of excitement.. later i started realizing it was not meant for the streets.. it wasn't a practical bike.. you cannot ride with your family.. because of that i started missing my pulsar.. finally I decided to buy something in that category.. higher mileage.. low maintenance.. can be taken anywhere.. ridden with family.. so bought the fz

So you sold the RC within a couple of months right?
Yes RC is not at all the city friendly bike only once i have ridden the RC 200 on the roads of hyderabad OO man the bike picks up the speeds very quickly and instantly. I can smoke every single bike on the road even with a slight throttle[emoji16]. But the major CON of the bike is the comfort even with the short drive in the city traffic my back started to pain its not at all meant for the city traffic. The non RC bikes from KTM are better when it comes to comfort driving posture in the city.

Its not the idling sound. It comes when the engine becomes hot after a few kms drive.
Why would any body press the clutch while idling whats the criteria of doing it??

no criteria brother ,just noticed it.
While the clutch is pressed the engine sound changes and is more sweet and relaxed.
one normal bike sounds a bit rough.

No, I kept the Rc from 2015 to 2018.. around 3 years

I had the 390.. and you can assume the power it must be having.. apart from being uncomfortable.. the 390 engine isn't relaxed at all.. if you ride at lower rpms the bike would start to jerk.. so you would feel like the bike is asking to be ridden hard.. there is a feeling of urgency with that bike..

Ok how old is your bike?? Is it version 1 or 2??
Did u notice any tickling noise when the engine becomes hot apart from the roughness??
Tickling can be heared if you accelerate the engine at idle after engine becomes hot.

Wow so you had a RC 390[emoji1305] its the very powerfull bike man. Yes i also know that the engine at low speeds jerks and begs to revv hard [emoji16]. How is your FZ performing now??

bike is like before.. those issues i mentioned before are still there
                            1. engine roughness
                            2. rattling sound
                            3. hard gear shifts

only thing changed is i have started to accept them.. hoping bike would get better after the service i am planning to do next week.. also i am trying to build more kms on the odo.. currently i am on 1929kms.. which is i know too less..

Bike is doing good 2 days back the 6th free service has done at the SVC this time filled the engine with the yamalube sporty premium.
The rear brake is emitting some noise need to check it.
You can try some fuel additives man which improves the smoothness and refinement levels.

if your bike was washed then that might be the reason for the noise.. i once did my washing from outside.. and my rear brake totally stopped working.. the bike would move with lever fully pressed.. and make a squeaking sound.. after a few days it got resolved on its own.. if you are having the same issue then no need to worry

which fuel additives? in my last service the svc people put some carbon cleaner in tank.. though i didn't feel any change.. i heard should be used in 3000 kms intervals
