May be your rear suspension has gone soft, i am currently on same boat(7.5 yrs) and it jumps like pogo stick and on un even road feels like ghost is steering her.
I doubt if my headlight is banging against the mudguard.

Both suspensions have gone for absolute toss now.
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Headlight can be replaced, Head cannot be. Wear a helmet.

Are you also facing tyre cupping(more tire wear on some spots)? I am facing cupping on tyres and mrf showroom guy told me not to change tyre until i have suspension fixed. I am confused on spending money on such a old bike. Should i go for new bike or repair fzs?

Not facing any issues like cupping or so.

Get your wheels aligned and check for wheel out.

Check the bearings, swing arm bush, chain sprocket condition, rubber part inside the rear wheel.

Changed every thing, only thing that is remaining is suspension.

So is the case with me. My rear bearings were fine.

Front bearings, front suspension springs, suspension oil, cone set changed and still it doesn't seem right.

Cone set gone kaput in just a month. Shoddy work by SVC or parts are not upto mark now by Yamaha, not sure.

Rear suspension is absolute hard and can feel a small stone also.

Have you changed the rear suspension?

No, i haven’t changed suspension and i am not going to. I am waiting fot Cbr650r, missed last year. I did change spring of forks but nothing changed, same thud sound on potholes and tyre cupping. Changed oil to motul for thud sound.
I think problem is with Yamaha, i bought rayzr for my dad and after a month, he started facing ghost steering on uneven road. I never faced this kind of problem even on 8 years Honda maintained like shit. One more thing Yamaha SVC Guy also suggested me to change wheels(rim). They just keep shooting in dark.

I am using Yamaha Faizer. Not used much ran 11k , was ideal for 2-3 years and i am second owner.

                Facing issue

                1. with carburetor , will over flow when stand for long time in ON condition
                2. Milege is 30 only where i am expecting 40+

Have review it 2-3 Garage include yamaha show room they are suggesting to change carburetor.

                What is your thought?
kindly help - thanks in advance

Get your carburetor serviced and cleaned. Check for internal damage / rust when opened.

Since the bike was idle, i think the carb. might have taken the beating.

New carb. costs approx. Rs. 3500.

Hi guys. One of my friend is planning to get JK Blaze BF32 100/80-17 & JK Blaze BR41 130/70-17 for his Yamaha FZ 16 at a cheaper price from the local tyre vendor. The bike is used for less than 4 kms everyday so he doesnt want to spend extra for MRF and other brands. I couldn't find much reviews about the JK motorcycle tyres in the internet. Reviews and feedback on these tyres are much appreciated.

Now it's 60000kms and now I've started getting issues. I took my bike to the yamaha service center and they are telling that the shock absorber is gone along with drive axil and the chain and socket also need to be replaced.they blame everything on the upgrades tyre. Is it true should I change back to the stock 140/60 ? Guys who know please help

Showroom gave an estimate of rs 15000
Replace the chain and sproket if you can visually see the teeth to be worn out. You can check on youtube for the difference between a new and a worn out sprocket teeth. I have changed to 140/70 masseter tyres about a year back at about 16.5k kms when the stock tyre sidewalls had cracked. Had the front also upgraded to 110/70. Also had to get the sprocket changed as well at that time.

There will be some tension on the chain due to the taller tyre but that can be factored by adjusting the chain slack. You have clocked 34k on the 140/70 tyres and if the tyre upgrade would have been a reason for degradation in the sprockets it would have happened earlier. Cant say about the suspension. My SVC engineer also told me that upgrading to a taller tyre will need re-boring of the engine at a later stage as it stresses the engine out due to stress on the front sprocket. Dont know how much of that is true. I'm still using the masseter without any issues so far.

In the user manual the time for maintenance and replacement activites for key parts is mentioned. You can check that to see if that is the normal wear and tear for your case which might need replacement. 60k kms would have worn out a lot of parts.

                        Hey guys..
                        I have FZS V1.
I am sure somebody has tampered my Bike's carburetor as all of a sudden i am getting only 30-32 kmpl.
Previously i was getting good 43-47 kmpl.
Please tell me the correct carb tuning as i am planning to DIY.
How many AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) turns anticlockwise from locking position???
Please tell me your's AFR turns count and mileage you getting with it.
It would help me a lot...
                        Thankxx in Advance

Any body used the castrol Activ 20W40 in their bikes??
Since i work for a pharma company its working for me in this lock down also. A mechanic shop near my area is changing the engine oil but they have only castrol oil luckily the grade is 20w40. With the no option left that too the present oil has gone bad so changed it to castrol.

Is it ok to use castrol active oil in the FZ????

Is it mineral or semi synthetic???

Activ 4T is a decent performing oil and can be used on the FZ with no problem, and it is a semi-synthetic oil.
