Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
You are right. What I think is for showing people that their bikes are low on maintenance they use low quality oils and at cheaper prices. A fully synthetic Motul 7100 10w40 costs around 800 rs and Yamalube Sporty Premium (their fully synthetic) oil costs around 450 let alone the one I use which costs around 350. If they start using higher quality oils, the maintenance cost will go up and their sales will be affected. What they do is reduce the quality and the price and also reduce the gap between service intervals.Originally posted by #bpk View PostActually companies trick us. Yes, i will suggest you to complete at least 2k kilometers, and then use shell semi synthetic 10w 40 oil for another 2k kilometers and then change to either shell fully synthetic oil or motul 7100 10w 40 oil.Originally posted by vanp View PostYou are right. Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
I need advise for best suitable Rear tyre for FzS.. mainly for street commute.. less off roading.
Upsizing not preferred.
Please suggest value for money tyre.
Usage is less.. approx 200/250 kms/month only.
Approx price of products would be good for me to decide.
Thank you guys..

Hey!
If you want to purchase Radial Tyre then I'd suggest you to go for MRF 140/60-R17 as this is the stock Tyre as well and because no other brand offers Radial of this size. There is no Radial for 100/80 front tyre. I recently purchased both the tyres from Karol Bagh, Delhi for 4500/-
If you wish to purchase Nylon Tyre then you can go for MRF or Ceat 140/70-17 and that is a little cheap as well, Michelin is 200-300 Rs more if you wish to go for that. Don't get in the trap of Non Radial tyres as some shopkeepers would say a tyre is radial even if it's not, so buy carefully. It is not a short term or cheap deal so go wisely and easy
Cheers!

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
140/70-17 MSX-MCTIf budget is not your concern, you can opt for MRF Masseter 140/70-17 MSX-MCT. I've found it to give good stability and grip on my friend's Hornet when compared to the stock Nylogrip Zappers. If you want something for minimal use, stick to the stock Zappers. Also, I wouldn't suggest going for CEAT.Originally posted by Wheely-123 View PostI need advise for best suitable Rear tyre for FzS.. mainly for street commute.. less off roading.

1. There is a kirr kirr or maybe tarr tarr kind of noise from around the right hand side of the bike. Feels like coming from the area above the engine. Not sure what it is called but I think from where it sucks air. First I thought this was tappet noise so I got it adjusted during my 3rd service. But the noise is still there and it is very audible and irritating. I showed this to the SVC many times and they say this is normal. This wasn't there when my bike was new. At around 1000kms this noise started and it gets worse when the bike gets heated. I even showed this to the Yamaha engineer and he said it is timing chain or I am not sure cam shaft noise and we'll have to open that part and fix. He said since your bike is performing fine, there is no need to do this. But I get very irritated when I ride as it doesn't feel normal to me. This type of noise comes from very old bikes.
2. There is a whining noise from the bike when it reaches 45kmph. First I thought this might be chain noise. So I cleaned and lubed the chain but the noise seems to have increased.
I have done all the services on time and these issues started after the first service. I have complained many times to the SVC and even wrote emails and called Yamaha customer care. They just say visit the SVC or schedule a meeting with the engineer. But everytime I go there they just say this is normal and all is in your head. I feel like I am riding an old 1lac kms done bike everytime I take my bike out.
Guys I want your opinion and expertise since you have experience with the bike. I am thinking of taking legal action against Yamaha and their SVC as I am tired of complaining them again and again and I didn't pay for this.
Yamaha fz 2.0 version engine produces unusual noises when the engine becomes hot nothing to worry that much regarding the noises. Even my bike engine sound changes after a city ride in traffic its common dont worry much about it enjoy your ride man.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
thanks bro for the reply.. after some research I found that the sound I have been complaining about is the coin rattling sound which many fz25 owners have mentioned before.. you are right the sound becomes high when the engine gets hot.. initially i got scared that something has happened to my bike.. but after help from you all i found that the sound is coming because of yamalube.. it gets heated very fast and loses its viscosity.. and when that happens.. the coin rattling sound increases along with vibrations..Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostYamaha fz 2.0 version engine produces unusual noises when the engine becomes hot nothing to worry that much regarding the noises. yes bro I saw that video .. I noticed that he previously used the yamalube sporty premium FS oil and was still having those issues .. I am currently on Optima Prime mineral oil and think that adding the FS oil from yamaha won't solve my issues .. i am planning to eventually move to Motul but before that I want to test the bike for sometime to be sure that there are no actual issues with it as switching to Motul will void the warranty .. i opted for 5 year warranty while buyingOriginally posted by #bpk View PostSR motoworld YouTube channel also experienced the same, he used motul 15w 50 after which according to him, engine became smooth and silent.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Hi, my brother wants to buy fz v3 . How's the bike? I found the build quality of v 3 to be inferior to my 2018 Hornet, the chrome parts present on the tank of fzs v3 were moving up and down while pressing. Also, is there any fi related issues like stalling and something like that?Originally posted by vanp View Postyes bro I saw that video ..
