It could be the jet jammed open or the float pin ... know of any good mechanics to open up the carb ? Or take it to the showroom itself ... though knowing Yam ASC, they are as good as handing it over to my niece.

Is there any way to fix this? The chipped of part has no threads over it.

RohIIT, kindly advice on the above.
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

You have got a stripped drain hole.. How did this happen? You can do two things
1. Replace the crank case this will cost 3-4k rs and is a permanent fix.
2. Aluminium welding and re tapping. This can be done on lathe and will cost 500- 700 rs. No guarantee on leak proof sealing of bolt to the surface so quality of workmanship is important here.
Both methods need engine disassembly
Off the BOTTLE & On the THROTTLE

Wanted to change the oil, so unscrewed the bolt and this piece came off.

Is there any way to fix the chipped of part back on the cover, a permanent fix or long term solution? I can do the tapping after that.

You have 2 options
1. Change the crankcase, factory finish, no issues whatsoever.
2. Use a cylindrical aluminum block and weld it to crankcase drain hole. Then drill it with same tapp thread.

Second point is dependent on skill and workmanship of the welder . If done properly you will have factory like finish.

I don't think you can put back the broken part back. It must have sheared due to stress. Overtightening maybe one of the causes.
You need aluminium welding + grinding + threading to be on a safer side if you don't wish to replace the whole thing.
Weld it and drill a new hole. Grind it so that the drain bolt washer sits flush and doesn't leak.

RohIIT Divya Sharan thank you for the help Wanted to go for fitting the sleeve into the drain hole, although not sure about the workmanship. Any idea if brazing will help stick the part permanently? If brazing helps, I can then tap it to a bigger hole.

Has anybody changed the part under Extended Warranty? Any info will be helpful.
