hi,
i have 1 query but not related to FZ-16.its about traffic rule.
i know its not correct thread to post bt i dont know correct thread so posting it here.
mods can transfer it in right thread or can guide me to do the same.
i purchased FZ-16 and havnt got registration number yet so have the temp number. if i ride bike, is it traffic rule violation?Comment

No problem buddy, carry the temp.registration certificate copy with you till you get the permanent no. Cops are on the watchout for TR vehicles, so make sure you have it with you always!Originally posted by srai View Post

you can run upto 30 days without one is what I heard , wen i posted the same query ... The tax paid invoice is important ... that should do till u get the number ...

Most of the Cops themselves dont know the rules.
I was caught few days back and was asked to pay a fine of 100Rs because i dont have a Non-Pollution Certificate...i told tht guy several times tht my bike isnt 1 year old yet but told be "After 6 months you need a Certificate"....but luckily the senior officer who was writing the fine cleared tht only after 1 yr i need it....thts how these ppl roll.
anyway im not sure abt how many days you can ride with TEMP but its at least a week i guess...Smoke rubber,not tobacco.

... i am pretty sure u can run 30 days on the T.R but u got to have the original receipt and the tax paid invoice ... checked up with my dealer before taking delivery ... I hope u din pay the fine

Update on the Recall. It is infact for a lot of bikes. All FZs only.
And the Speedometer is for the fuel guage. The other parts are Torsion spring, push lever, return spring. No clue what those are. The guy whom I talked to said that they are "bike parts".
Bad experience for me though. I called the SVC place(Pacer Motors Bangalore) yesterday asking if I could come over. The dude said today mechanics are on leave and come tomm. Today I landed up there and asked for it. They tell me the parts have'nt even come to the SVC yet. I was super pissed. I blast the dude who calmly tells me to come later. He then calls another guy (Gajendra), this is the dude who took my service last time and did a good job. He explains to me that the parts are yet to come and asked me who called me over there. I didnt know the guy whom I spoke to. End of story I came away super pissed with no new parts

what is the reason why they want to change those parts? will our bike be a road hazard if these parts where not replaced.
