      G-power...195...but not much difference..
It's not what you ride, it's your attitude that counts.

thanks man the site is awsome...
Till date i was confused but now i am going for 16/40 or 15/38 sprocketing... for highway speed of 90-95 wanted to keep the engine rpm down...

anyone sees any serious drawback in this... i know pickup will be a lil slow...any other thing i should be aware of?

K so i see no reason for not using NGK irridium.. I stay in mumbai & I can get it easily from a spare part shop but do i need a mech 2 fit it or its a self doable task to change the spark plug??
PS: My stock spark plug looks just fine so do u think i shud wait & let it erode 1st before replacing with NGK?? & BTW using NGK does make our warranty void to some extent I suppose right??

            • U can fix the NGK plug ur self...When u give ur bike for service don't mention any thing to them about the plug...

              • Can I know the exact price of turtle wax and f1 wax polish in Kerala? Is it true that they give the showroom glaze to the bike for around 3 months.

Hey bro, the stock plug that Yamaha supplies with FZ is also NGK one but conventional one. So I don't think the warranty should be void if an upgradable version of NGK brand is installed on the bike. Anyways, as said above, don't disclose it but yeah be careful about it too. As some SVC may replace it with their own stock ones.

                    • Guys had an accident at BKC yesterday.. Slipped on gravel while braking to avoid a open manhole. Instrument panel has come off and one side faring has been damaged. Thankfully I only got off with some ligament damage at the shoulder and ankle. Will know abt hairlines if any in a day or two.

I know for sure my helmet saved me cos one of the only things I actually remember abt the fall is the loud 'Thup' sound as the helmet hit the ground. No more postponing any riding gear purchases!!

The bike was still running fine, my bro got it back home, now got to see kitna ka fatka hai Well, looking on the positive side, lotsa time now to plan my future rides I guess (and I also got my first wheelchair ride )

Waxing does not cost tht much....for 300 rs you will get good brands tht will last for 7-8 sessions for a car.
i use a polish,it does give a really good shiny look almost for a week, wax should be better i guess.
there is this carnauba wax that comes in a yellow box,its seems its a good one,350 rs i guess.or get Carnauba wax from WAXPOL.

Thanx 4 the info dude. Correctly said by you that Yamaha guys might change the spark plug with their stock ones but I have no means to avoid it from happening since whenever I give my bike for service, they dont allow me to inspect the servicing process which they carry out so I guess I would have to disclose it beforehand to SVC guys to retain my upgraded spark plug.

BKC is nice place to ride yaar, but an open manhole is just not expected there atleast. No doubt your helmet saved you big time & I hope the helmet was of a good brand but the sad part is that you must definitely replace that helmet of yours on a priority basis even if it looks fine coz it must be damaged internally.

If the front console is not in repairable condition then it might cost you around 3000 bucks to replace it + fairing damage will cost you somewhere around 1000 bucks + additional repairs. So it might be worth claiming the insurance & i think you need to inform the insurance guys within 24 hours of the accident in order to proceed with hassle free claims.

                            Anyways, recover soon man.

                              • Have any of you guys been present throughout the servicing process of your bike??
My servicing is done at Kamala Yamaha, lower parel & they dont allow us to stay back & witness the service process.
We had a bad experience last time when my frnd demanded to stay back while our bikes were being serviced, especially coz we had to changed our oil to castrol power1. My frnd argued & finally he was allowed to only see the process when oil & oil filters were being changed.

Does such restrictions apply in all SVC??
