try the service centre you will get it done
and where did you get that done anyways?
well in my case the culprit was a larger screw than which was required , so i jus replaced that with the regular size ( had one already ) and haven't had any problem since ... the cut and bend of the tyre hugger , well , jus some more bending with my hand until it looked okay , covered the rip with a sticker , so now, can't really make out that somethings wrong with it unless you really look carefully ...

Just wish i could get rid of the darn saree guard which was the main culprit for all this , but then bangalore cops would be very interested in my bike .

Hey nand. I guess its worth the cost if you tour a lot or travel a lot per day like 50+ km. Otherwise might not be worth the cost. But seriously, Yamaha should reduce its cost to say like 600 Rs or something (ok may be thats too low, but hey I'm an Indian ). That would really be a sweet spot. Quality on the hand is top class. No probs there.

As for the toolkit I guess if we follow vianais idea then its a non-issue.

Hmm. that seems like a good idea. Will check it out...

Once a cop took my bike onto custody soon after i took it out from the showroom. The reason? Its a modified pulsar.

Is it that much of a problem in ekm? No probs here in tvm. You just need a helmet

                          • Hey guys, my ride has done 14k kms. I have missed my 4th service.
Now my bike is not having much throttle response.
Is there any problem with the oil filter? Should it be changed by this time? Any suggestions?

I would like to share some thoughts with you all.....
As of now the ODO stands at 7900...

                              1. Pick-up was little OK....not good...this i came to know while trying to
overtake other vehicles on the highway....
                              2. Engine was very hot(obviously)....guess due to the mineral oil and not
the semi-synth....so on that front it was nice....
                              3. I dont know why but the there were vibrations in the handle bar and
front and rear foot pegs after the bike crosses 80km/h....
                              4. Bike didnt touch the three figure mark even once...
                              5. Mileage i got would be around 40-42 at speeds above 60km/h always...

I Had lubed my chain 3 days back and serviced the bike 20 days ago....
So what could be the reason for vibrations and no top end?????

Do your bikes also have vibrations after the speed of 80???

Guys....me too a FZ16 owner....i think a little attention over here wouldnt hurt you guys....dont know y always i gets sidelined???

@ranjith: good to hear your FZ is so smooth even on mineral oil....

@k2cool : how did the bike respond at higher rpm????

@N-o-v-i-c-e ...chill dude...its not like u are sidelined or anythin...lots of posts on this thread these days....easy to overlook a few...no hard feeling rite??
@k2cool : how did the bike respond at higher rpm????
the bike responded amazing at high rpms...as i said kept up with the rippers of the group....while returning average spped was round 70-80kmph over a 80km stretch...was with the group the whole time never lost out...am very satisfied.......little bit of vibes but that is cause bike is nearin 6k kms and hasnt been serviced since 3k...overall a 7/10...while coming down i filled petrol and well the aerodynamics changed drastically...the same curves that i was slicing thrg in the mrng were like butter...the weight of the petrol was really a bane ....
