While riding thru potholes, you are bound to feel some vibes. In normal driving conditions, does the bike move left/right without you doing anything?

    Cheerz!!

Now that's one good source you have . I haven't been able to find the dust seal and oil seal number. Any clue where will it be in the manual? I guess in the manual we can only find the part number and not dimensions about any part.

    Cheerz!!

I also got this 2 days back and haven't gone through it yet. Will do so after sunday.
If the forks are leaking oil, you can use some local seals for sometime. if it isn't, then wait for the stock at svc..

      Ride safe and have fun.

Yes , after fitment with a new set of bearings it wears down and needs a little adjustment ( tightening ) a few times untill it settles . Your symptoms are correct for loose steering stem bearings . Once it goes loose like this , have it adjusted quickly - since loose causes quick wear too .
Did you use yamaha OE bearing+racer set ? or only the ball bearings ? did you grease it well during fitment ? what grease was used ?

        • Re: Can Yamaha Fzs run 850 km in a single day

          Query Approved.

For an air cooled motor, it's basically a good idea to take breaks every 250 to 300 KMS or so which helps both the ride and rider to get some "me" time. FZ can do more than 400 in a stretch without any issues, unless it's gunned and revved hard, you'll probably cease the motor. Appropriate breaks and riding in and under 60 to 80 will be fine.
          Cheers!

          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

          THE END

Btw....off late I have heard of a fluid which, when filled inside the tyre prevents punctures effectively. Any ideas?
The liquid which you are referring here, is slime, it is available in Yamaha svc itself, costs around 640 rs.About my user experience- I am using it in my rear tyre since I bought my bike. As per their claim, if any nail enters in the exact below section(where the bike tyre contacts the road when standing still), it can be removed and the tire will be ready to go without any repair, but if in enters from a bit sideways it will not work, so far I did not face any such incidents. But I had only one puncture so far, in that case, though the nail was inserted vertically to the exact below portion, when I removed it, it did not work. The service guys told that becuse of the big size of the nail it did not work.

No nothing happens as such. Handlebar isnt bent also. The vibrations disappear after tightening the nut,but reappear after around 25 kms or so.

Will get it adjusted again..no other option I find. Everything was greased and I used Yamaha original bearings purchased from Yamaha spares dealer.

Thread at the T has disappeared a little bit.thats why the mech had problems taking out the existing ball racer.still he said that it can be used now.
I suspect it had happened thanks to the first time, right after bike purchase, the ASC mechanic had used a bit of hammer to rectify the vibration issue.
What should I do? Replace the T?
It is in its 3rd year of ownership.so no warranties I guess.

If the threads have deformed, you cannot get a tight fit and it will keep getting loose from time to time , and it will be very frewuent too. So i guess in best interest for you and the bike , it is safe only to get it replaced.

                      Cheers

I think it's all common problems of fz because mechanic said the same thing to me ' thread on the T stem is gone and they need to give it to a lathe'.
Anyway guys anybody knows the cost of the front brake fluid reservoir?

2300 is quite a lot for that. Any other option to fix it up? Hating the vibes

Front brake fluid doesn't cost you ₹2300.
