Hey friends I am opting for Motul 7100 4T 20w50 Engine Oil. Should I go with it. As one of My friend Suggested me as Motul 7100 4T 20w50 give better acceleration and Engine smoothness.

Also I am facing a Problem against Front Disk Brake. I recently Changed My Disc Plate and I ride my Bike 700 Km. I noticed New Disc Plate sound was gone But my front wheel is not rotating free as I rotate the front wheel I notice At a part or section wheel get stuck or get tightened.

Well you can try shell advance AX7 10w-40 its nice and i feel more free then motul

And about front wheel rotation check wheel baring for rust or damage if so please do replace it

Thanks Dude... Will Look Forward what you told about the Rotation Check and Also Bike crossed 6000km , 1year Old. As I am not speedy rider, I just want Low level of engine heat and smoothness. Right Now Biking is running in Yamaha Lube and after 500km crossed , Bike started heating and engine smoothness was gone. . My 6th last Free services will be coming on Mid March... Any suggestion for the last free Service.

Same heating is getting form my bike when me using yamaha lube 20w40but last 5 year i have use motul 20w40 shell 20w40 and 10w40 and local oil to which cost 80rs litre but i form last year jan 13 me using shell 10w40 and it rum smooth till 3500 km all riders have differ experience about engine oil for me shell 10w40 is best

Use Mobil 1300 super 15w40 or ELF performance 3D 15w40 . These are heavy duty diesel engine oils and perform exceptionally well on FZ. I have tested these HDEOs for more than a year now in my Fazer.

Every ride is a comfortable smooth ride.

New problem! One of the chain links got broken..rather on the verge of being broken. Showing a crack and it is making a sound. Is it advisable to replace or remove the broken link? Bike has run 12600kms...always lubed chain with gear oil.

Its sad to hear about the broken link as my local mechanic always says that yamaha does grate job not giving links in chain

Well hero splendor chain work fine as my one of my friend hai change the chain sprockets from local market that cost 500 and after 400km the chain has been broken and the splendor chain cost 120 rs and 30 rs for labour so you can go for splendor chain but its good to have oem products for fz16 because they are much powerful and reliable that any other motorcycle makers

I have problem with speedo meter, its not showing correct speed.
1-I checked on GPS when its 100 on speedo its actually 110 when i checked on gps.

2-i tried once again with karizma zmr besides,
When i was 110, zmr was 120 and gps also showing 120.

Each and every machine ever built will have some kind of error. Same with the speedo readings. They can show up-to 10% of variation (just saying)
So nothing to get worked up. Its absolutely fine.

Usually fz speedo's show error in a +ve way like the pulsars but yours is showing in a negative way. So if you are so keen on the speed.change the sensor. My friend did the same it costed him about 300 for the sensor alone

Well if your friend do have hai fz16 or S or fazer . Have a drive with them then see all odo speed its okie if you have + or - 3kmph difference . In my point of view rpm meter or sensor should work proper ways for shifts

I checked on ulysse speedometer pro one of the most reliable and accurate app these days....
And also karizma zmr hav one of the accurate speed sensor..

Rolon makes chains for our FZ..supplied by Yamaha. So are Rolon chain set,along with sprockets available from Rolon itself?

My Fazer is 4 year old Fazer is having starting troubles every winter morning . Even if I ride bike quite a lot the previous day , I don't think the battery is holding charge and the next day it won't start , the biggest problem is that old Fazers don't have kick start .
I push start the bike ( and it starts within 1 or 2 attempts ) . The battery gets charged on the run and I don't have any problems for the rest of the day but once I park my bike at night and return back the next morning , it just wouldn't start .

The battery is the one which came with Fazer 4 years back . And I have never checked the battery water levels , though once I did get the battery charged at SVC for about 4-5 hours or so but I don't think they did anything about the battery water .

So guys , should I change the battery or just check the water levels . In case of buying a new battery , which one is the best and prices ?

The chain got rusted during the last monsoons ( about 6 months ) , this hadn't happened in the previous years . I believe the bike is running under lots of friction , the chain makes "chik" sound when I leave the throttle after reaching 50 or 60 Km/hr . What's the reason for this sound ? Is it due to chain slack or time to change the chain , it is 4 years old but has been used for less than 9k Km .

I sometimes see oil spots on the engine and the source seems to be the drops from fuel knob , the knob also has oil and dust sticking to it . Some solutions please .

Off topic : Why I am I seeing a pic of a guy with helmet on and showing victory sign on the left as my profile picture . I am also seeing this picture on posts made by others .
