Get Tribocor if you find it. Pretty good then other chain lube's.

Guys, is there any run-in period after tappet adjustment? I rode it in 80-90's twice or thrice. There's also a change in engine sound. A strange sound is observed. The service advisor told me there's nothing to worry. The bikes behaving normal except for the sound.

Wow! Fuel injected!
Wonder why they took so long. But anyway its finally here!!

Also wonder if existing bikes can be retro-fitted with fuel injectors instead of the carbs.
But I guess it would installation of sensors and therefore engine modifications.

Still, looks good!!

Yup..!! Apart from modification Fuel Injection is something new which will highlight this Bike to an extent. I don't really like the midship muffler( Silencer). Speedometer is also changed .Click image for larger version

You can add an inch or so of cushion sponge under the seat cover and see if that helps.

Ride safe and have fun.

Thanx for the quick response. Will it affect the fitting of the seat on the frame?

What i am saying to add only on the top side of the seat (and under the seat-cover). Cut the sponge in the seat-outline and put it under the seat-cover. It should give some comfort

My bike has done near about 70k kms on the odo without any engine work.Have been using yamalube rill now but I want to try semi-synthetic engine oil.
I couldnt find motul products here in Kathmandu (Nepal) so thinking of using castrol power 1 20w50.
What other options can I opt?

Yamalube has semi-synth products as well, don't they?

Ishwor.. Whatever oil you use, make sure its of the recommended grade: 20w40 or w50.
SparKot.. Yes, Yamalube SS is of 15w50 grade and the bike doesn't like this oil. Hard shifts, engine heating being a few.

Yes, I will stick to these two grades. Its summer time and I am planning for around 1200 kms ride so trying to use 20w50.

Thanx will surely try that.

Actually I have been posted in a very rural branch currently and am planning to bring my bike for my daily commute (from Chikmagalur town to Tarikere) in Karnataka. The one way distance is around 40km, consists of good but winding, narrow roads, inclines, a small ghat section with 3-4 hairpins. As the bus service is less, am planning to take my 5 yr FZ to perfrom in this extreme climate. I do have the below doubts

1. As my bike is at home for a month and hasn't been serviced for around 6 months what are the major replacements I should do it. My bikes sep 2009 model (without kickstart).

2. Should I make any specific changes (like engine oil) as my driving will be mostly in ghat section?

3. My bike has run around 22k km. The tyres are in good condition with the grooves still visible. Should I replace them now itself..
