I don't think you would get a direct fit foam filter. No idea about the effects.

Use any normal 55/60w bulb, it does the job. The illumination is way better than stock 35w bulb. No mod required, plug and play. I am myself using normal halogen 55/60w bulb and am pretty happy with it.
I checked with him again he told it would be custom made using the existing airfilter casing and the foam from RX100 or RX135's Foam air filter. He is running this filter for quite sometime now. Did some research and found foam type filter is better for performance and mileage and requires cleaning often compared to paper type filters. Thinking of going for this if I am not happy with performance on mileage returns will go back to stock.

Guys, my ride is in a bit of trouble. while riding at any speed while I let the handle bars free the bike always tends to swerve leftwards. Experiencing it for quite a few days. Is there any problem with the ball-racers. My ride is 13.5K kms old serviced at proper intervals. Fork oil & seal too have been changed 7 months earlier, however the fork doesn't seems to be the culprit. Also what other things should be done since the ride has done quite a bit of journey. (Air filter & brake pads are already replaced at around 10k & 12K kms respectively)

              Hello,
Finally got my problems sorted Took the bike to svc and the problem seemed to be with "TAPPET ADJUSTMENT". Could anyone please enlighten me about it? The silencer was clogged too and was cleaned. The intensity of the noise was high due to a kaput exhaust gasket and was replaced. Along wit the repairs, got it serviced too. It was soft on the pockets too, i was charged 1.5k for everything. Relief at last!

I was told that the exhaust emits white smoke for some kms due to the cleaning agent. Have anyone got their exhaust cleaned? Hopefully, nothing to worry about.

Really appreciate all the help and valuable advises

              Happy Riding!

Good to know buddy. It was @kusmaker who pointed it out about leaking valves. Perhaps he can throw better light on the issue.

I'm not sure if Rs 1.5K service charge is justified for it. [read as 0 experience with Yamaha service here]

I think you could check 2 things
                    1. Check whether the steering column nut is tighten. If not tighten it to the required torque.
                    2. Check whether there is any extra weight (like accessories) mounted on the left side of the hand bar. If found please try to move it as close to the centre as possible.

                    Cheers,

                    Mathews

Facing a weird problem now a days. When i turn the steering to either left or right, it makes some friction noise when it is about to touch completely on either side. The noise is at 0-5 degrees and it is similar to that of overtightening of nut. Any concern?

                      Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Sound can be either of overtightening of the handle nut or coming from race bearing, handle should be totally free when moved either side, get it checked.

Or cables routed around steering column are rubbing with steering column in the extremes.

The steering column has never been opened or touched.

Other than this screeching sound do you feel your bike's handle heavy while turning or do you feel any jerk when the bike front hit and pothole or undulation in the road,or does the handle falls to one side easily, how long it has been since you overhauled your handle,i think it's the race bearing set which is making this noise.

Nothing has been opened or touched in steering, it is stock till date. When i put the bike on centre stand and point the steering straight, it turns to right automatically without any touching or some external force. It isn't noise, rather it is something like a jammed hinged door and you try to move it. The noise (trrr trrr) that comes while doing so is similar to what i can make out.

Regarding jerks, yes i do feel them even passing over a small stone, same is with rear suspension. Not able to figure out the issue with suspension setup :banghead:

                                Cheerz!!
