Why so much confusion about changing the chain-sprockets ?
Its simple: They should always be changed together. !!

And also, those who don't want to follow this: uneven slack, uneven wear of chain and sprockets can cause upto 1-2 bhp of power loss (maybe less) and that is of great importance in our smaller bikes ( read this in Ninja 300 thread as shared by abhimanyu sir)
So you all want max out of our bikes and still hesitate in changing these ?
And spending 1500rs every 15k kms on a 80k bike is not a big deal.
And most of the times, svc do their job pretty well. Also you should keep an eye on them and notify them if you feel their work is not up-to the mark. They do listen if you ask them in a good manner.

That should be clearly mentioned in the user manual. Please take a look at the user manual.

It should be 29 front and 33 rear (i hope its correct).

Its mentioned on the bike itself. Check the sticker on the swingarm right behind the exhaust pipe.

Don't you feel bouncy ride? I keep 33 for rear and 28/29 for front and still feel my ride to bounce a lot :banghead:

Cheerz!!

I recently changed new Speedometer in January. Now the problem occurs that I cant see odo meter fully because the glass has faded automatically... I don't know how did it happen...!! :banghead::banghead:
I tried cleaning with shampoo not worked, did polish which helped me 60% cover in fade but fade portion come back again.
My mistake that I didn't laminated the glass..
Is there any solution to change the glass cover.

Yep, it feels bouncy but less than when pressure was kept 33 psi. that's why i now keep 35 and i feels slightly better.

Can low air pressure in rear also cause bouncy ride ?

Hey guys .
My right rear view mirror is loose it moves/sways/dances/tangos with the wind have to keep adjusting it at traffic stops . i want to know how to tighten it cause i went through the tool kit and i have no idea what to do with it . Thanks

I also missed a couple of free services so the bikes nearly 13 months now and on paid service - the SVC said the bike needs to be serviced every 2 months . could you please guide me as to what my missing a couple of free services mean in terms of warranty and if i should continue with yamaha service centre . because i think during the free services the guys @ the SVC didn't even care about what i was telling them and now that its PAID service . all problems will become visible to them.

Gaurav2595: there is a nut on the RVM, tighten that and it won't move.

As for the services, warranty is only for 1 year. So no need to worry about that now (unless you have extended warranty) and you won't get the missed free services.

My first service is scheduled for 7th June. But I won't be able to give my bike because of work; wil they accept my bike for service on 5th or 6th, currently I have completed 405kilometers, by 5th it wil be around 700kms

Bro I use 30 fornt and 38 rear. but I ride mostly with pillion so it suits me. But when I ride alone bike tends to bounce a lot in uneven roads. Keeping 32 at back and 28 at front I feel like having a puncture while riding with pillion. Else riding solo that's perfect.

I am happy with the current setup.
Now my riding has been reduced to just sundays, not a kilometer in between. So it doesn't matter much now.
