Thanks for pointing out that it is a bad practice. Didn't know it

A moderately tight chain can cause these small grinding noises, especially in a new bike. That can be the sound you are hearing, the chain rubbing on the slider.

Without this tool it will be difficult to set the right torque 33 Nm.

                  Cheers,

It's a pity that I don't have any mechanic friend. Can we source it from the market? Problem is, I don't know the size of that nut on my GS150R.

The issue with stem nut socket is, you will have to remove the handle to tighten it. With C-spanner you can do it without removing the handle.

You can get it in the market easily. Ask for C-Spanner or Stem Nut Wrench or Stem Nut socket. You should get in the area known especially for tools. Or you can make one with the right material.
For the size, buy one from the SVC & then choose the socket/spanner, so that it will not sleep.
But the problem is you need to be very careful while dealing with the stem nut or you will damage it.
I used adjustable C-Spanner, but it gave me hard time, so used a hammer & screw driver instead (not recommended unless no option)

If you use a C spanner for tightening then you will over tight the nut resulting in a tight handle and faster wearing of the bearings. If you give the correct torque then you need to check it only for about 5000 kms only.

Yes there is a possibility of over tightening. But when I'm checking the bearing & pressure, I don't have to remove the handle or main nut, I just loosen it. By rotating the handle you can check if the pressure is too much.

Nope. Only if you find the handle too stiff or any issues with the steering column. Follow the manual for greasing interval.

It depends on the road that you ride on. The roads I drive are full of pot holes, speed traps and a hell lot of stones. So the nut tends to loosen up. So I make it a habit to check the torque of the nut once in 5000 kms.

It is the good old way of checking followed by experienced mechanics. It is OK as long as the nut don't get damaged.

                                3) carb tunning .. Its lean . i dont mind lean . i want to try a bit of rich .
                                4) tyre puncture sealant
