Yup, I did. Was thinking about it and got the idea how about changing the filter instead of playing with carburettor settings

      Bro,
you cannot run lean when you are climbing the mountains.. your bike will be at all the time at high gears and you will end up damaging your bike. Rather keep the air filter stock and get the AFR tuned in the shop mentioned by vishwas sir. the altitude at which the airsickness of bikes starts is clearly mentioned in Vishwas sir's blog. for FI bikes it is not much of a problem as the ECU automatically sets the AFR based on altitude.

I am not too sure if this is a proper troubleshooting from my end but more or less i feel somehow either the cone set installation is not done properly or the replacement one is faulty. Have you checked your rear shocks if they are ok?
I feel the same too.. Anyway I can verify if i again need a cone set replacement ??

PS: Why did you specifically mention checking rear shocks.. AFAIK, but ofcourse the rear shocks health adds to stability & handling of bike but does it anyway relate directly to loose unstable handlebars feeling as i'm experiencing??

That could be very well the reason.. But my mech said the bearings are replaced everytime cone set is changed..

Ever heard of loose handling of the handlebars due to over-greasing of bearings??

          • Going for the jet trials tomorrow. hopefully, we zero in on a good jet size.
K&N+bigger jet=0.5 bhp approx. for an overall cost of 1800/- seems a bargain. Does anyone here have any idea about these cheap end-cans that sell for 2k?? are they even properly engineered with resonance in mind?? With a proper FFE and rightly tuned K&N, our bikes are real apache killers. not that, i promote streetracing. But hey, who wouldn't want to win traffic light gp's.

frankly speaking does it matter you have to use separate keys for the locks?

as per the starting trouble in the morning, always use a choke when starting for the first time in the morning. especially during the winters, and cold mornings....

              • Hey guys,
I want to share with you an incident that took place today.I know full well that street racing is illegal,I am also aware of the speed limit and I also know that street racing is dangerous,But sometimes you cant resist yourself, the adrenaline overtakes your sense.I am sure many you guys would agree with me.

It was an afternoon, and there was thin traffic on Bannerghatta road(Bangalore)
As I was riding,an aggressive driving Apache RTR 160(FI I think)guy overtook me and stopped at the signal. So there began my urge to whoop this guy.
So as soon as the signal became green,I throttled hard, the RTR guy did the same, soon we were neck to neck(But in my head I was devastated,I had got my bike 'Joeled'(180cc bigbore+filter ,But I couldn't overtake the Apache guy!.)
BUT then to my shock and surprise I realized,My friend was sitting as PILLION and holding on for his dear life!,and here I was trying to whoop an apache 160 (And almost did it,If I dint have to take a left at the next junction)!.So as they say-NEXT LEVEL PERFORMANCE

Street racing an absolute no no buddy.... if get the urge to do it sometimes then do so with proper riding gear.. if you upgrade to FFE as next stage the bump in power is quite visible and linear... highly recommended from my end!!

                    Cheers

                              • The part which the mud guard screw goes in has been broken due to a accident, anyway to fix that without changing the forks? only the one marked in the pic has broken,
