Yes it is. The normal brakes have rubber pipes connected from the reservoir to brake. The steel braided has metallic pipe. This reduces the pressure loss that happens in rubber pipes. So, the braking is much more crisp and sharp. Hope this helps

My bad luck today.. visited 4 svc's but none of them had fork oil in stock had to ride more in 40kms from one corner of the city to another n back.. all said stock will come after diwali..
bikes handling has been reduced to a great extent.. It starts to wobble with front braking.. And also the oil has been dripping continuously..

        Ride safe and have fun.

Ya, it does wobble when the front brake is pressed very hard.. Imbalance in the front and the rear wheel speed..
but i was referring to my normal braking.. Earlier it was fine.. But since this leak, it wobbles..

and also my rear brake is making noise.. Like when the pads get worn out.. Looks like the quality of Yamaha spares has degraded.. The orginal ones stayed good for some ~11k kms.. But since then have replaced them two times.. Also now a days, i use more of my front brake.. And even then they started making noise after only some 3-4k kms..

buddy why dnt u ask the svc guys to change the oil and seal for u....but u'll bring the oil and seal from outside.....coz it not advisable to ride bike in such condition....they are bound to listen.

then order the oil and seal online......if not from local spare parts shop

i had planned a ride of over 200kms (my first ever) in these few holidays.. But looks like its gonna get wasted..
will change it at a local shop.. I asked the price.. He said 450-500₹ something for both the forks (svc quoted ₹950+)

huuuuu.. Fz is a sweetheart, but sometimes can be a ***** (as in your case).. Don't worry.. It was her making you loose some fat

dude...plz verify whether he quoted for only oil change or oil change + seal change.....

and at SVC i was charged 400 as labour charge too...!!! so either he may b providing cheap fake parts or he is gonna replace the oil only...!!! oil replacement doesnt need much labour unlike seal change..!!

Hard braking on the front causes wobble?? Never felt that one. Our bikes have some of the best brakes. The front especially feels firmly planted to the ground under hard braking. Do you feel the front wobbling?

A suggestion about the oil leaking over the disc issue.
The oil is leaking from top of the fork downtube which connects to the wheel. And it flows over the downtube to the disc assembly. So why dont you tie a cloth on the downtube above the fender. That will absorb the leaking oil and prevent it from reaching the disc. Sure it spoils the looks but safety is more important right.

And about the clutch cable breaking issue.
Was it because of rusted clutch cable? If so then you can avoid it. The first sign of rusted cable is clutch becomes very hard. Of course it wont be obvious to the rider as it happens slowly and our muscles becomes used to it. But a good indicator is when someone else rides our bikes and tells us that the clutch feels hard. That should be a warning sign that the cable is rusting internally. It should be inspected as soon as possible and replaced if necessary.

                            Hope this helps.

                            Cheers!!

Seems they have jacked up the prices. Regardless it is a worthy upgrade for the braking system. Make sure to use DOT 4 grade brake oil with this kit.

By wobbly i mean is, When braking hard, the front wheel becomes jerky. So, i feel as if it wobbles. This happens when at decent speed. At slow speeds, this does not happen.
