I have installed mrf 120/80 tyre on my fz.It has higher profile then the stock tyre so has resulted into taller gear.
I need rapid acceleration then top speed so decided to alter sprocket to under gear the bike.
I went through the thread "world of sprocket" but came to know only option were rear speocket from r15 and detona kit.
So please tell me if there is any other option for front sprocket.
I believe front sprocket wil be cheaper compared to front and easy to install.I may be wrong so please suggest me what will be better option.

One more thing do i need to maintain different tyre pressure for this tyre?

I had given my bike to my cousin for couple of months but the stupid drilled 5 holes the the end of the silencer with the gas welder. The bike sounded like bullet while accelerating or cruising but was misfiring (sounded like rapid explosion) while deccelerating.
I immediately went to gas welder and opened the cover and saw there was hole even on the inside long tube. The welder welded the holes on the surface of the silencer but said nothing can be done on the inner pipe.
But still it misfire when throttle is wide opened and sut down immediately.

Please tell me if it does something wrong to the engine?

Like other members have pointed it out, its coming from the Catalytic Converter. You are feeling its from the engine because the CatCon is located in the muffler (box shaped assembly) under the engine. Dont worry about it. Is it like water droplets or a metallic sound?

            A noob query.

The Service manual says that, the Fork Oil has to be changed at 10k kms. Do we really need to change it?

            Cheerz!!

              Mine stayed good for 21k..
And most don't change it until it starts leaking
              After 20k.. Yes change it..
And if before that starts leaking, change it as soon as you can.. Handling takes a hit due to that..
I am yet to change it

              Ride safe and have fun.

Thanks. Any symptoms to look for changing the fork oil? Also, can the rear suspension be adjusted? I feel the smallest of jerk when passing over a bad road or something like that.

Ya.. You would see black rings on the chrome rod.. And oil on the black seal..
Also if you pass over jumps hard, the oil could be seen driping on the rod..
As mine is leaking from last week, whenever I brake hard.. The bike tend to wobble.. And move towards right (right fork is leakong oil).. This could be because due to less pressure, this fork tends to conpress more and this happens.. Waiting for money to come and repair this..

The rear could be adjusted.. There is provision for the.. You can see step like groves.. That are used for this.. But don't know how to do..

                  Ride safe and have fun.

                  • Sprocketing fz16 to under gear

I am currently using 120/80 tyre on my fz.So the profile height has increased and thus altered the gearing.
I want to use larger sprocket on the rear to undergear the bike.42 tooth R15 rear sprocket is only the option. Are there any other bikes having about 44 tooth whose sprocket is direct fit on the fz ?

                    One more question:
Is there any adverse effect of this tyre on the rim since the rim is suposed to support 140/60 tyre?

I have had very jerky rides in the past and the problem was overfilling the tyres. Check the tyre pressure.

I keep the pressure @ 33psi for rear and 29psi for front.

Its a machine.. Don't treat it like a baby.. And don't think too much about everything..
Use car wash shampoo.. If thats not available, use regular shampoo and a soft cotton cloth.. Lube the chain.. Thats all..

                                Hi All,

My Fazer is 25k KM old.Today i noticed a serious issue.
The rear tyre has worn out more from right side as compared to center and left side. The left and center part of tyre is till in very good condition but the treads on right side is not very deep. Is this a tyre issue or alignment issue?
