I see red-rusty linings/scratches, that's why 'just in case'. Besides, the absorbers actually shrink more than my eyes can tolerate so I guess there's a situation.

BTW, in June I had serviced my bike and the following were part of my bill -
    FORK O/H - 450/-
    Disk Brake O/H - 250/-
    Clutch O/H - 350/-

What are these?? I am assuming O/H stands for OverHead & not OverHaul or the other way... They did say that they changed the fork and showed me the greasy cone.

Well I'm afraid I wont be able to provide much help on that.
I havent had any tuning done on my bike yet. I checked the spark plug thrice, twice with a known mechanic, and from the looks of it the AFR is fine.

Also, what all things were done regarding the things mentioned before O/H?? Some description will be helpful.

The Service Manager is one Pig. Contact a guy named Umesh there, he is a nice chap. He normally comes and asks what problems do you have and all. Also, i would suggest that, you stay there till your bike is serviced. It will be beneficial to you. The SVC number is 02228708100.

I guess so, what do you think? They told me that they have changed the fork (no set, cone type terms used).

And I am looking for descriptions myself. All they(SVC) showed me were smallest/tiniest(maybe significant) of nuts & bolts replacement.

I am a complete noob and taking things steadily, thanks for the help.

Well, if the forks are changed and you notice rusting on it, there is high chance that the forks are not of good quality. Rusting generally happens when the chrome plating is not upto the mark or the fork (material of the rod) has not followed the process properly before the final outcome.

But I paid only 450 bucks, do you think it would cover the cost of the forks while you said that it is somewhere close to ~1100/- INR.

Then the forks are not changed. I guess, only the fork oil would have been changed. Why dont you get a clarification from the SVC itself.

For the rusting on forks, try removing it with your hand. If it gets removed without the chrome layer coming of, then there is no need to change the forks. Post a pic of the rusting on fork, i will be able to help you better looking at the pic.

The cost of for,s would not be only 450₹.. It would be in thousands.. If only the oil cost this much, then naturally the whole forks would cost way more..
better get a clarification from the svc itself..

                              Hi Everybody..
I own a 6 months old (1700 kms driven) FZ 16. I recently noticed that whenever I tilt my bike more than a certain angle, fuel from the carb is overflowing through the drain pipe.
i.e when the bike is on side stand, everything is ok. but the moment it is tilted slightly more than that, fuel is flowing out from the drain pipe of carb.
                              What can be the issue?

Don't think so. Aftermarket fork tubes for a 10 year old CBZ which are much thinner than FZ's forks cost about 900 INR. Most likely they have only changed the fork oil seals and replaced the fork oil.
Get it clarified from the SVC. Or check your bill. That should tell you what has been done.

                                Cheers!!
