I changed the brake fluid because stock OIL was a bit left. This is my first brake fluid change.... Disc was washed by petrol , then dried and again Returning home I washed with soap water. I ride again 10-15km now brakes are little bit effective but not that much which was earlier. We will be going to meet mechanic again tomorrow.

I ride in city normal roads with many speed braker which I hate it... About pot holes very rare when visting to my friends home, stop traffic yes alot. Yes I was riding a lot with front brake earlier when I was New Rider but after getting accident in new year I started making habit of using rear brake after that I never met with accident (Touchwood).

Ah... Accident you say. Was your fork affected in the accident?
One does not wash disk pads with petrol or diesel. The feedback reduces and your pads had fork oil on them to begin with. Just change them and clean your disk plate to restore the brake feedback.

Yes that is what I said. Your old pads have been through enough to not be able to perform properly. Changing them is your bed option. Should cost you 200-300/-.
The reason I asked about the accident was to confirm if the fork alignment was done. Accidents damage the fork and can thus affect the fork oil seals as well.

Many many thanks ... Washed with detergent scrub and let it dried with blower ,Changed the Old Brake pad with New Brake Pad kit costed me Rs.145 by Yamaha SVC and Changed by local mechanic near by Home Rs20/-. Now the front brake is effective and back to normal. Now the front tyre is not which freely a little bit stiff I guess due to new Brake pad , will check after riding 100-200km.

Again thanks to everyone who suggested me , As I found that extra Rs.170/- was enough to make my ride feel that I am ready to ride the streets again....!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exhaust popping on deceleration and/or when 'clutch lever' is pulled 'in', even after plug showing brown colour on insulator is due to dirty clogged pilot circuit/jet or does the exhaust connection need checking too ?
Or am I diagnosing this all wrong ??
Noticed popping in abovesaid conditions whenever bike is at <=3k rpm.
            Please help.

I believe the mixture is rich and maybe just maybe the timing is a little off. But you can confirm this by simply checking the tip of the exhaust nozzle for soot (black powdery residue). If this exists then the mixture is rich.

I am using the same oil, been ~700-800kms. I feel its much better than using 15w50 grade oil. Shifts much smoother and engine runs cooler.

                  Ride safe and have fun.

Well, at last installed the new tyre, along with new rear allow. The new tyre looks much rounder than stock tyre. (had planned to change the front tyre this month, but now that would have to wait for a couple of months.)
Also changed the dampers and the wheel bearings. They used NBC bearings, 6202 number. Cost ₹390 for two piece and ₹90 for dampers.

Bearings of Yamaha Genuine Parts are of FAG and not NBC, costs Rs. 80 each.

I guess the springs have gone bad too, thanks to the previous owner's foolhardiness. Will look to replace that as well.
@accuengineer: The bike has clocked 24300kms on odo, its a 2010 model, bought second hand, so service history is very limited.
Yes, im gonna have a look at the bearing set for lubrication, but can't seem to figure out how to take it apart. Can you guide me on this?
I purchased the full cone set/race bearings at YASS for 225INR, I just hope i havent missed out on any part here. :/

I'm 100% sure the bugger has not had the fork oil replaced till date, even the incompetent SVC has not bothered. I sometimes wonder why these companies provide us the manual and detail out the maintenance schedule when the pathetic SVC do nothing but wash the bike, that too superficially and ruin the bike before handing it to us.

Well, i see this nonsensical attitude from all SVC, YAMAHA/HONDA/KAWASAKI/SUZUKI. God save our bikes.
                        We share very same experiance.
Me too bought fz second hand and had no service history.Mine has clocked 72 thousand kms recently and is still going strong.

I changed fork oil and spring fork oil myself but in presence of the mechanic(he is senior mechanic from yamaha svc and runs a workshop where he works on off office hour).
He is kind of training me and i pay him for this.
There is detail procedure for the job on the service manual but i would advice you to perform the job with the help of mechanic for the first time.

Regarding breaing set lubrication: i cant help you here bro.

My question is that P150 was with a pillion , how could it manage to overtake someone doing Solo on speed of 110+. Is P150 that much potent on the topend or is something wrong with my ride.

Here are few info on my ride total KMS -36K , Last service done 31000 on the ODO, Engine oil -Motul 3100 SL, custom air filter (might be the culprit) , Chain set changed at 28000KMs,clutch plates never replaced and sparkplug never replaced.
Worn out Front tyre and Dunlop Tuff Grip 140/70 2yrs old and run 14000kms.
Maybe 140/70 tyre which is heavier than stock is the culprit tooo.

I had not planned on changing the bearing, but the way mechanic hammered the bearing out from the damaged alloy, i though it would be much better to put new ones and i told him how to push the bearing correctly and not hammer them straight out.

They had only NBC bearings and felt of good quality (i deal with bearing a lot and know quite about them). Lets hope they stay put.

By the way, now tyre at the rear and pretty old at the front makes the bike difficult to handle. Front was not staying in line in braking. Gotta get new one installed soon.
The stock front is zapper fx and the news ones are fx1. Thread patter seems to be little different.

But I hope that there's no soot as plug is showing brown colour not black. And if there is, then thats just plain confusing to me.
