dude thanks for the reply.... what brands of HID bulbs do u find out there... ive seen for cars you have a little box like gadget looks like some converter do you find that as well or is it just a bulb to be fixed?.. ohh and also how about the beams how great are they and will i be able to get both high and low beams? also will i be able to use the high beam pass switch... because i use my pass light more often instead of the horn....

Sorry to keep asking questions but i really wanna know this planning of getting a kit this weekend.

    Thanks

good hids are available from philips but they come in pair... of the Chinese ones you can go for anyone..... no you will have to get the full kit.... the beam is amazing... you can fit the hid on the pass switch as well.... high and low beam depends on the type of the HID if it is h4 or hs1 it will have both the beams if it is h3 or h7 it will have a single beam.... the chinese ones range from 1700+ depending on the warranty.... can contact Navnish of xbhp for good hids...

Has anyone of you got free acce3ssories while getting your bike delivered(especially from Bangalore wheels, bangalore)?

I will be getting my bike this week, so any inputs would definitely help.

Hey. The scratch card was there for Diwali last year. I had got it. Got 1k from it as well. I purchased my FZ16 from Pacer Motor Shivajinagar. Pacer Motors normally does not stock any accessories there. So normally I go to Perfect Riders in JC road for them.

Best option would be to try for the guard (Rs550 at Perfect Riders).
Seat Cover unless it is the Mesh type its of no use, so no point in asking for that. And the Mesh type costs Rs1250 which I doubt any dealer would give for free. These are the only two accessories I have till date.

Also for long distance handle bar grips might be good as I tend to grip the bars tightly and my palms tend to hurt. So you could try for that too.

I'v been there just once and that too coz it was a sunday and that is the only place that opens on sunday.. got disc pads changed. its just that i spent 2 hours there for a 15 min job coz the bike was in queue and i had nowhere to go. I pestered the guy there 3 times but he would not move my bike up the queue just coz I was physically present at the location. It was inconvenient for me but they did score points for the strict 1st come 1st serve way of doing things. Other than that the guys r polite, helpful and responsive.

psst... inside info - I was chatting with the guy who draws up the bills for the bikes and he mentioned that most of the awesome mechs there hav switched over to other companies... but i guess the current lot is pretty good too.

bottom line - u wont hav complains there.. is what i feel.

The Bangalore wheels have quoted 700 for the guard, I think Il go with pacer motors which is 550/-.
And how much did you pay for the grips?

Dont give a dealer a penny for guard and parking cover.

Just negotiate a bit and tell him that other dealer is giving it for free.....i am sure he will also give it for free.

Pacer motors does not HAVE the guard. Pacer motors does not have any accessories.

I havent got grips yet. still hunting around for one. The multicoloured rubber one was the most comfortable I've used (on a Starcity), but they look cheap.

Any idea on a good handlebar grips guys??

Dunno, just trusted the SVC guy on the switch covers

BTW, my bike turns 1 tomorrow
This is my first experience with any bike , actually I learnt riding in traffic on this bike, earlier just biked on empty road or compound on friends bike.
I am very happy with my FAZER.

                            13.7K Kms done so far.
                            F.E. : 38 (Daily run on highway to/from office ~ 21kms)
One fall (touchwood) , that too in my society. Applied front brakes tooo hard.
Have been using only SPEED since the beginning till date.
Regular chain cleanin/lubing at 1000k intervals (might have missed once or twice)

Fuel meter has been annoying, works - doesn't work then works fine again....

Overall very satisfied with my only vehicle.

                            Cheers.....

Instead of handlebar grips invest in a good pair of gloves...
