The response came in just 3-4 days. I received a call from MRF and then I had to tell them the bill no. and the dealer's name.

Well coming to the point, i am looking to order the projectors from ebay.uk and was wondering if someone here who already has them could guide me, or even better help me with a link to the product they ordered. what type of bulb would i require for the HID.
Also, any tips/videos of the install process or a good installer in Pune would really be appreciated.

          Thank You
I guess you can post this query on either R15 threads or Light thread under Universal Threads

          • hello friends, finally after so many days of my accident iam back on road... got my bike fixed had to pay only 322(left side glass), 130 (foot rest) plus 80 service charge.. and lot many small repairs like bend in side stand, crash gaurd was all included in 80....well my firend who went with me.. purchased elbow and knee gaurds of 1200 bugs.. is the price ok.. or costly or is it cheap and should go for better one... because iam planing to buy one. i purchased hand gloves.. it costed me 800 bugs.. can any body tell me from were to get original yamaha gloves... online can only view but no buying option . and for which tyre should i go... my bike is just 4 months old... crossed 8000 kms... and rear tyre is a night mare..suggest me some thing for 30% off road.... 60% wet and highly slippery and 10% normal and dry... and which will run like 6000 or 7000 kms... thats enough for me... but grip should be extra awesome in wet conditions.. and price...

            • I'm new to riding motorcycles and have been doing so just for two days. However I have noticed that riding while wearing gloves, is giving me slight pain in the palm! (Which subsides when I'm not riding). I have found it easier to ride without gloves than with! Why are gloves recommended again? :P And is this pain normal or something wrong with my glove fitting? I have these:

Allow me to tell you what happened to me on Independence day. We had a grand trip planned and just about 40 odd kms in, my FZ slipped on a patch of mud. Thank heavens it was just mud, coz I didnt get any serious injuries. The saving grace in that case were my gloves. Had my palms been naked, I would not have been able to grip the handlebar.. and so, would not have been able to ride back home even though my injuries were otherwise minor.

It is better to wear full gloves coz I see that the ones u bought are half gloves.... and the protection offered by them is limited.

                Rest is up to u..

                • New Fazer ... need tips and suggestions...

(I guess this thread is for all d 3...... FZ/ FZS nd Fazer too....

                  Hi xBHPians..
Finally I made my choice... I got the Yamaha fazer this friday... Sparkling Blue... the attention grabber on the streets... The feel is superb... Its real smooth on the streets... I am content with the choice I have made....

Well I needed some suggestions and tips from you all....
                  1. Firstly is it recommended to drive at a speed limit of upto 50-60 km/h for the first 500 or 1000 km s... ( i actually once went up to 90....)

                  2. I am mostly in city limits ... so speed is between 10-35 km/h so I have to change a lot of gears in between from 1-2-3.. So I hope it is not a trouble for the engine...

                  3. Thirdly when I took a test drive of FZ (same engine as Fazer) at the I experienced that even in the 4th or th geat the bike was riding smoothly at low speeds like 25-30 km/h BUT this is not the case with my new bike... I have to downshift from the higher gears at slow speeds otherwise the engine stalls...

Please help me with your tips and recommendations for these 3 points... and if there is any othr advice which I should follow upon..

                  thanks in advance

                          • Fuel lock

                            Hi,

I was reading the service manual and it mentions that I should keep the fuel lock at "OFF" when the bike is parked. I didn't know this before and hence my bike has been parked in the garage for the past two days with the side stand with the level at "ON". Is this a problem? Any precautions or things I need to do before I start the bike?

                            RK

1, Follow the manual's recommendations... you can go up to 5k RPMs till 500 km and up to 7.5k till 1000. Some people wait longer and there are other methods for breaking in bikes but this is what is in the manual

                                2. (Again the manual) says you have to initially stop every hour for about 10 mins during the first 500 km to let the engine cool.

                                3. As far as I know the gear ratios for the Fazer are slightly different... but someone else please confirm.
