    • Its been a really consuming year for me.
My Fazer just turned a year old last week and its been a wonderful time with it.

Firstly I would like to mention that in this time I have never ever faced any hiccups or problems whatsoever regarding issues. Great quality there by Yamaha(periodic washes and maintainence are part and parcel of every bike)

I think it is one of the best touring bikes(maybe the best ) in the country.I have had long trips, short trips ,city trips and even on mountains but it rides damn well. Its way above the rest in terms of handling.

Some people nag about mileage issues of the bike but I think it purely depends upon your own style.I've always been able to extract 42-43 odd kms per litre of the black oil.

Power seems to be on the lower side but I dont care cause for that cause you have the R15. Though just a little more horses under the tank could have been excellent for a touring bike like Fazer.

On my last thoughts I think I am really happy that I made this choice and I have cherished each and every moment with it.

      Its been a wonderful time...............

Yes, what you heard is correct - an oil change at one hundred kms is a good idea since most of the particles from fresh engine grinding would get removed from the system. Most manufacturers don't recommend it since that would take maintenance costs go skywards, but it is definitely a good idea. Next change at 600 kms and then at 1000 and then the regular cycle can follow.
