Paid service costs ~260 Rs and ~110 Rs for water service in kerala(TVM).
Around 370-380 is ok, but 450 is lil high... ask other SVC's also

A bit high. try Pacer too. I dont know their rates to be honest. I'm still in my free Services. But I dont think they'd be that expensive.

@ other Bangy guys. Hows the service of Perfect Riders in JC road. I have purchased my Crash guard and the seat cover from them and they seem decent enough, but never done a full service with them. Any feedbacks.

I'm reluctant to go to Panache. While Pacer is decent I would like to see if there is anyone better.

You get the sound only when u hit a sudden patch of bad roads or even on super smooth roads. I know 50+ on Indian level bad road is not possible but just checking. If it is when the shocks are in action then it might be coz of them, check your forks for any leaks. Else if it is in the wheels themselves I can think of only the brake pads. But they shouldnt give out a squeak sound actually.

                • First ride experience!

                  Hi guys,

I just took delivery of my bike today (FZ-S) and here are some nuances i faced during the ride:

                  1. Gear shifting is rough! Most of the time I can't find neutral.

                  2. I'm trying hard to not go above 4K rpm; but when I lower the throttle to either downshift or just slow down and then after gear change or wanting to pick up again ... i blip the throttle ; the bike kinda gallops ahead before i get back into rhythmic speed .. so this leads to a very jerky ride during those points .. its like if i lower the throttle below a particular point (and sometimes i have to because of slow moving traffic) and then pick up from the point .. the bike jumps ahead. i know this is probably my fault with the way of riding the bike as its my first two wheeler ..

                  3. what are the optimum gear up shifts?

Is this something to be worried about? Explanations why they happen would be appreciated and what I could do to better it.

                    hi,
the problems you are facing are just because you are new to riding....
wake up early in the morning go to some straight roads and practice your clutch and acceleration combo.....

regarding the optimum gear shifts it depends on the way you want to drive....
if you want to get the max acceleration take the bike to 6-6.5k before upshitfting(not recommended untill you are in drag racing and/or running from someone and/or chasing someone)
otherwise upshift whenever you find that the engine is stressed a bit or a harsh sound starts coming.... which usually happens in the 4-4.5k range...

P.S: do practice the clutch and acceleration combo as this bike will jump forward without you even knowing it...

manual says 12k km, but frm personal experience it can last more than 25k km without any issue.

                          • Rear tyre

                            Hi guys,

I recently got my FZ's rear tyre changed. The cost of the tyre was quite varying from 2300-2900/-. I finally bought it for 2850/- from MRF dealer in my city. Then out of curiosity, I asked the cost of MRF tyre for FZ on it's site and complained that the dealer took 2850/- from me. Yesterday I got a call from MRF saying that the mrp for FZ's rear tyre is 2400/- and the dealer can't charge more than that. He asked about the exact name of the dealer and the bill no. Today morning I again received a call from him asking me to go n collect balance 450/- from the same dealer

A lesson for MRF Dealers and I'm very happy with the prompt action on MRF site

The site: .:: Welcome to MRF Tyres ::.

So i got my R15 a week back and am totally enjoying it. Its an amazing bike
Well coming to the point, i am looking to order the projectors from ebay.uk and was wondering if someone here who already has them could guide me, or even better help me with a link to the product they ordered. what type of bulb would i require for the HID.
Also, any tips/videos of the install process or a good installer in Pune would really be appreciated.

                                Thank You
