But 15k on the odo means your chain set should be fine for another 10k kms at least! Hard to believe that it is gone this soon!
Hmm... ok, try to have a look on your chain and sprockets. Check whether the teeth of the sprockets are bend slightly anti clockwise. And check that it is truly the end of the adjustment too!
If the teeth are bend and worn out, and it is really the end of the adjustment, it should change, but this soon..... hard to believe. Even low quality chain sets might last upto 25k
Anyway, oil the chain, lubricate it well for the time being!
Hey, thanks for the info again man.. I'll check for the shape of the teeth of the sprockets. And about being at the end of the adjustment, I took the word of the SVC guy for it.. although he has said it twice and adjusted it twice, and this is the 3rd occasion when it has gone loose. Btw how do I check myself, whether the chain is at the end of its adjustment?

I've also noticed some rusting that has started on the chain. it is totally my fault since I do not get the time to lube it up with a good spray n all.. whenever the bike goes for a wash, the guy soaps the chain clean and puts machine oil on it, which I think vanishes in about 50 kms or so I'll get me a can of chain spray as well and check for the adjustment soon as u tell me how to

Check the chain adjuster position. If its at extreme then it's full.

Use gear oil in the interim to lube the chain.

@ s_and_m, Yep, check the adjuster position. The shaft which connects rear tyre to the swing arm should be in the rear most position in the swing arm. That is the end you cannot tighten the chain anymore.

Yes, lube your chain with gear oil! But I advice you to change your chain+sprockets as soon as you can and after that make sure that you lube your chain once in 500kms at least!
