hey guys been a long time since i've been on the forum... had been to singapore for the fortnight ... so had to get my bike back to running condition , as the day I left I had a complete systems shutdown and had to push it back home ... so the problem was apparently because I rode in the rain , somehow water seeped in and shorted the battery contacts and the whole thing shutdown ... total repair cost 485 ... 250rs to transport my bike and 100rs battery charging another 120 for the actual repair ...People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

Ting Ting Ting
The First free service is very near i.e on 22nd Oct.I have done around 734 Km till now.
I was left dumbstruck when I got an extraordinary, decent mileage of 53 kmpl ! o.O Till date I've never crossed the speed of 40 and have never revved above 3.5. Lol,I didn't give my bike to dad when he asked for a ride Hehehe :P,this much care I took and see my beauty is giving me the reward ! XDhttp://www.facebook.com/#!/Harshcaprio

Acceleration & Torque.Originally posted by deville_56 View Posttoo had this prob, but eventually it went away over time. BTW it never took me more than 3-3.5k rpm for shifting. Y 5k rpm???
Isn't 3.5K a bit low? My usual shifts are as follows:
1st gear - Upto 17-18kmph then upshift
2nd gear - Upto 30kmph then upshift
3rd gear - Upto 40kmph then upshift
4th gear - Upto 50kmph then upshift
5th gear - Upto 60, but occasionally
To achieve these speeds in the aforementioned gear, I need to upshift around 4-4.5K rpm.
I feel shifting at 3K might lag your engine.Always assume the other guy will mess up - Ride Defensively!

Lots of torque in low range. I reach 5th at arnd 40 and than goes on from there. That aids in economy too [Originally posted by rkakkar View PostAcceleration & Torque.

True, that might be good on say the highways but if you ride in heavy city traffic you'll end up doing a lot more gear shifts due to low rpms gear changes. By changing at higher rpms you can afford to stay in that gear longer (mostly 2nd and 3rd)Originally posted by deville_56 View PostLots of torque in low range. I stay in 2, 3 or 4 in heavy traffic without much rev. It even pulls without knock from 25 kmph in 5thOriginally posted by rkakkar View PostTrue, that might be good on say the highways but if you ride in heavy city traffic you'll end up doing a lot more gear shifts due to low rpms gear changes. . The thing is everybidy got different ways of ryding. I was a late nigh/early morning highway rider till 2 months back. Now a heavy city rider
Both situations my bike not revved beyond 5k rpm in 5th

Why dude? How often are you pushing this bike to 100+ that you might need one?!Originally posted by Yamaha FZ View Posthave anybody tried rear disk brake on this bike? I am willing to get this done on my one month old beast. So is it recommended?
Invest it in a better headlight..!!

At what RPM in 4th gear do we get a speed of 60 kmph...?
And whats the speed in 5th at 5k RPM...?MOTORCYCLING IS AS MUCH ART AS IT IS SCIENCE
