I suggest you ride normally and then see if you still see white smoke. If there is still smoke i think your head gasket might be damaged & letting in too much oil. Though i am not a guru at this just helping out.Originally posted by umeshkumawatsa View Post@ranjith
Well i gave to my freind for ride he just open full throttle in first gear and didn't even changed gear and stretched my bike for 500 meter in full throttle then i say smoke coming out of my bike
Is everything fine ???????????Yamaha FZ16 - 2009 to 2011

If it was white , then you have nothin to worry , bike's absolutely fine . Black smoke means ur engine needs a bit of tuning . minor problem , nothin to worry .
mechs rev the bike to max , on standstill , to check the condition of the engine , heck even the SVC did this to my bike to check . white smoke at 10k+ RPM is nothin to worry about .People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

Reving in idle is different from reving with gears. While you are reving in gears your piston head gasket fires very quickly hitting it the inner cams. While idle there are no major parts moving.Originally posted by nand15 View Postwas the smoke white or black in colour ?

yes , thats true , but if it smoked at lower RPM's then there is a problem , at 10k+ not sure ... he has said it's normal at lower RPM's , so there shouldn't be a problem .Originally posted by Galaxtus View PostReving in idle is different from reving with gears. he said it should be used with iridium sp for better performance.... other than this i have no idea,.... it is that yello coloured cable you might see on some bike coming out from the spark plug area....Timon: Orange Yamaha FZ16 2009

Yup its the splitfire cable.....takes the extra load put on by the Iridium plugs.....coz Iridiums give consistent powerful sparks unlike our conventional plugs....Originally posted by RanjithMN View Postisnt that called split fire cable?
So it helps if you use splitfire cables....not that your stock plug is bad...
cheers....

Fazer Air/Fuel adjustment screw.
Hi to all xbhpians!!!
There is a slight backfiring problem with me Fazer, the bike backfires and stalls and my guess is.. the air fuel mixture setting on the carburetor is set to a richer mixture, and those imbecile svc mechanics are too dumb to figure it out.
SO , can you guys please help me figure out the A/F mixture screw on the carb?? I am not able to find it!! I will fiddle with it and let you guys know.
Attached is the image of the carb.

Hey .. changing the oil filter is not necessary with oil change.. but if it's your bike's first oil change then you need to change the oil filter as well.Originally posted by umeshkumawatsa View Posthi guys,
Need some help i am going to change oil tomorrow so should i change the oil filter also or not it clocked 1700 after last oil filter change.
OIL filter change is required during 1000Km service and 6000 Km service.
And oil filter is cleaned during every service.
Just change the oil and leave the oil filter cleaning dirty job to the SVC blokes.

The screw just below the IDLE screw as seen in the picture is the AFR setting screw.
