My 5 month experience
Code name : Tornado
Km completed : 3312
Accident/crash: one crash (broken shoulder and right hand brake lever)
Damage : scratches on headlight and a bend leg guard
Mode of ride : double

, 50-60 in city and 80-90 on HW
Top speed attained :110Km/h
Ride comfort : legendaarrrrrrrrryyyy.....
Pillion ride comfort : people complaining (I dont care)
Ride quality : no vibrations at all
Modifications : none so far but thinking of angel eyes, Osram 60/55W 5000K bulb and some paint job
Maintenance charge : the usual service and the damage done because of the crash
Major problems : leaky front shock absorber
Disadvantages : this term shouldnt even be here
Mileage : 45 avg

Nope,no after market filters!and ill never use them!almost every one has screwed their engine with aftermarket filters!
and i haven't changed my Spark Plug yet,but when its time to change ill get the Iridium!btw when should it be changed?
paint job...no i don't think you can do it yourself.you have a back one,i suggest you paint those gray/silver plastic parts to black!and then treat you bike with some gold stripes!

tht will look meaner

Oh sorry i thought u were talking of turbos and it would look ugly if u install one on bike but at least power can be doubled without these on stock engines

Accident/crash: None
Damage : Scratch on the silencer...
Mode of ride : Single, 60-80...mostly highways...
Top speed attained :122Km/h
Ride comfort : Am kinda tall so the posture does become a problem sometimes....
Pillion ride comfort :BAD!!!!
Ride quality : Excellent after thrd service....amazing....
Modifications : None
Maintenance charge : Petrol and regular servicing....
Major problems :None at all...
Disadvantages : FE...but wat the heck....i luv this bike....
Mileage : 38-40 avg

Hi guys,

Just need help yesterday while revving my bike above 10k rpm my bike gave white smoke and when i pulled it down then it was normal what could be the reasons please help ???

@umesh,sry i dont know abt the smoke but ABOVE 10K??WTH?
frankly i wouldn't recommend regularly going over 8k,FZ isnt designed for tht.any specific reason why you revved over 10k?

normally white smoke is a sign of oil being burnt...so dunno wat hppnd but that might be the case....

My 7 month experience
Code name : Devil
Km completed : 3000
Accident/crash: 3... 2 when I started learning biking and one major when my friend locked disc while cornering
Damage : Scratch on the silencer...
Mode of ride : with pillion, 40-90...mostly city...
Top speed attained :123Km/h
Ride comfort : One of the best
Pillion ride comfort :I find it fine but my mom is not able to sit at the back only gf's can

Ride quality : Till the 3rd service it was mind blowing but after the 4th they have reduced the pickup so much I am waiting for getting it fixed soon
Modifications : Stickering
Maintenance charge : Petrol and regular servicing.... and puncture at times
Major problems :None at all...
Disadvantages : mmmm mmmm mmmmmmmmm puncture cost a lot lol
Mileage : 48 in this service lol I used to get around 38-40 before this service

Well i gave to my freind for ride he just open full throttle in first gear and didn't even changed gear and stretched my bike for 500 meter in full throttle then i say smoke coming out of my bike

Is everything fine ???????????

just run the bike for a few kms normally and if u find something odd get it checked from the svc once otherwise it should be fine.....

the white smoke is due to the overheating of the engine....

prolonged operation of the bike in lower gears and above the redline can damage the engine....

many things can go wrong such as:
1. piston rings may be damaged
2. oil burning up which will lead to ceasing of the engine.
3. or the worst the engine might blow away (usually happens in cars with prolonged use above redline area)....

try not to do things like this or giving your bike to newbies....

Not really sure what the reason is but if its the first time that has happened then its prob cause of maxing the engine,if it doesnt happend again i dont think you have to bother.

But remember,FZ isnt a red-liner,i am someone who maxes FZ to its limits but i don't cross 8k..there is nothing much beyond tht actually....and 10 is tooo much
ive only gone beyond 8k while trying to chase a R1 LOL!

btw wait for sometime,someone like JD can help you understand the reason

Km completed : 13502 kms
Service done : 5 Service
Accident/crash: 4 Crashes (3 Small, 1 Big) after changed RED to BLACK
Damage : Scratchs here and there
Mode of ride : Single & Pillow - 80+
Top speed attained :125Km/h

once after that 115

Ride comfort : King
Pillion ride comfort :Moderate
Ride quality : Better than anything.
Modifications : Ladies footrest, Iridium Plug, HID 6000k, Projector Headlamps

Maintenance charge : Petrol (lots of it) and regular servicing....
Major problems :Accelerator cable is always getting jammed sometimes

Disadvantages : It could have had much more grunt but why worry when Joel is here

Mileage : Before 50+ now 38-40 avg

hey does iridium plug and the spiral cable make any difference??
