I'm not sure about the consumption of the stock FZ tail lamp as I have an R15.
However, I can safely say that LEDs:
1. Consume less power
2. Last longer
3. Look much brighter
Than bulbs.

Appreciate if you could take it over PMs from here-I'm not a regular on this Ownership thread.

Hi Mahadevan,
When you visit the shops, try the bags on your motorcycle it will give the idea about mounting & positioning. Check the clearance between the exhaust & the bag, clearance between the tire & the bag on the exhaust side. Try sitting as a pillion, then you will understand the difficulty. It's not a good motorcycle when it comes to pillion comfort (depending on the trip distance). The legs will be going over the saddlebag which will add more weight onto the saddlebag, which is not good. The dirtsack has bags designed for KTM try those out.
Regards,
Abhijit

Happy to help bro.
Do share your feedback here when you visit the store. I just told what I saw. And that was long back.

We would all like to know if BikingSpirit.in has changed for the better or not.

Cheers!!

i visited BikingSpirit and Cramster, i dint go to Dirtsack.

Biking spirit has discontinued some of its products like the alpha45, and working on some prototype, to help bikes like FZS, carry a saddle with ease, but it may take a couple of months.!!

Cramster as always has been my choice, today i got the Cramster saddle - Colt, though i fear it may hang loose sometime, but there is nothing that an Indian can't find JUGAAD for..!!

Cheers..!!

thanks abhijitkn for the suggestion, i did try on the saddlebags, and yes it did give me a better idea oh how things would look like when loaded.

i also agree that legs over the saddle bag add weight to it, and it would definitely be a bad idea.

Though i got my cramster- colt today, and i guess some minor adjustments can be made in order to prevent fatalities from happening.!!

Cheers..!!!

The choke spring might not be working properly inside the carb..
btw.. How isn't not working properly.. Like what type of problem you think its having..?

Some days back, whenever i use to pull the choke in the morning, it would not work properly. I adjust it to make it work. Today morning it was not working even after adjusting.

Also, can someone please highlight about the use of System G. My bike has completed 10k kms.
nadz11.ns... if you remember, some days back i had posted regarding the RPM's fluctuating a lot. That problem still persists. Haven't had the time to visit the SVC. Will surely make it next week.

Cheerz!!

The choke cable could also be loose.. It might be able to give enough tension to the spring to work properly.. Thats whay i think..

and as for the rpm problem, i too faced it, but somehow its completely gone now.. Don't know how.. I didn't do anything.. Only happens when i start the bike for the first time in the day, after that its mearly stable around 1200-1500rpm..
Ya do get that checked.. If not at svc, try getting the carb cleaned at any mech. and then if the prob still presists, go to svc..
I too will get the carb cleaned this evening.. was busy this whole month due to fasting..

I am actually waiting for the fuel to dry up. As shv18 had mentioned, faulty fuel can be an issue.

Any clue how to drain the fuel??

Cheerz!!

remove the pipe that connected to the knob.. and keep the knob in reserve position.. and let the fuel flow..
you would also need a small piece of pipe to collect it into a bottle..

My bikes choke appeared faulty from day one.. I couldn't start using choke but could easily do it without it.
Never cared why.

Actually the thing is that, my idle rpm keeps fluctuating a lot even after setting the idle screw and of lately the choke is not working properly.

I use the choke once when i start the bike.

sometimes choke cable collects dust/gets rusted near the carburetor side of the cable and the fuel flow is interrupted. This same thing happened a few years ago on my stunner. I had the choke cable replaced and it was fine after that.
