    seriously ?

If you really feel like leaving biking after few drops or accidents. Then you should ...

Relationship between the man and the machine is not like human relationships its at a different level. As much as the machine deserves the rider, the rider need to be deserving for the machine too.

Riding is not about keeping the bike clean, shiny and pretty. Just like an old jeans, more ripped bike is the one which has served it's purpose well.

I m sorry I've been harsh, but off-late I've seen so many posts here about people whining about leaving biking just cause of some tiny fall. Really admire ppl like nand15 for true biking spirit.

Dont get depressed but next time keep safe distance from the auto-rickshaws .. I know how bad I feel if I get a scratch on my baby.. avoid rough riding on city roads.. whenever you feel like ripping your bike prefer a known highway..

Also, i had the same problem with the silencer initially then I started using the Matt Black Spray paint on the silencer.. It changes your silencers color to that of your engine and if you buy it for your self you can cover as many scratches as you have..

Dude again!!! This is India, you are driving on Indian roads, you must accept that. Here no one follows traffic rules....
You need to see at every bike be it Yamaha or any thing else... all bikes got scratches in muffler area... notice that. I could not find a single Yamaha FZ that has not got any scratches in the muffler. You must not worry at all, we have to live with that.

You can get the rod type from Panache on Old Madras Road..but my rod-type crash guard got bent after a really bad fall and I have to change it now..but it saved the bike from any damage..not even a scratch!

the crash guard available at most of the svc costs around 750rs. but is definitely worth it. it has saved my leg one time from getting squished under the bike...

thanks .. yeah its high time i got one for myself. had couple falls earlier but lucky ended with only a bad bruise. could have been worse.

btw does the crash guard come as a standard package with a new bike or is it a separate accessory?

                        • 2011 fzs

ok, so am new to Bangalore and been a while since i rode in India. Booked a Bullet but got tired of the wait. The FZS seemed to be a good bike (especially due to the rear tyre). I test drove one last week and was literally Fida due to the ride quality. So finally booked one and might be getting delivery tomorrow. Have read some good reviews for this bike and am actually a fan of Yamaha (experienced the 1100 cc Silverado).

What are some 'Must have' accessories? I was thinking - Mesh seat cover is sure one of them. Any others? LED lights, handle grips etc etc?

Just get the LED tail & pilot lamps. Its AWESOME LOOKING in night.Check my profile for pics of that,Dont get the mesh seat cover as it is too steeply priced + it will hold more dust in it then keeping it looking good.Get the led side makers or the indicators it looks cool But sadly I cant afford to have those as a accident will surely destroy them.
