Never!Long storage requires a full tank to avoid rusting.

yup quite sure , that was the diagnosis ... But I believe the minimum rehab period is about 2 months ... so this time it's gonna be completely idle .. after this it all depends on how it goes with the rehab and if i can ride after that ... so now for about 2 months do I really need to worry about it ?
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

they suggested me the yamaha chain lube (Dry type- chain turns white after spraying)

          but u say motul 420 n yamaha 1400rs

Hi had I read somewhere in xbhp that longterm storage if the fuel is not removed... the fuel itself is corrosive in nature.... hence the suggestion. don't remember the link.. anyways if you can nand, try and ask someone to give your ride a nice little start up once a week and a small 2-5 km ride.. that should keep her happy and in good condition.

i do hope you recover soon bro.

            Cheers

Im not sure if Fuel is itself corrosive, even if it is it wont as corrosive as leaving the tank empty.

Fuel hardens up and it is corrosive and it will damage carb than the tank.

Fuel cock will get blocked Its always advisable to drain the fuel in long-term storage.

will then twisting of throttle simply make air fuel mixture flow into the cylinder?

                              This will cause fuel overflow.
