My personal recommendation... tell your friend not to go for it. the only thing he will witness is bit of roar in the exhaust note and the mileage will drastically drop.. instead ask him to get in touch with Joel and possible mods which may suit within his budget stage wise.

Cheers

K&N mania is not a wise option... if your friend can hold on for a bit, within 2-3 weeks i would be posting my initial report on post installation of Joel (Race Concepts) Performance Free Flow Exhaust on me FZ...

i am now impatiently waiting for d day of return from North East India and back to Mumbai, get hold of the FFE & install it asap!!

Cheers

Please do so, Am eagerly waiting for your review, And does adding a free flow alone give an exceptional increase in performance???

• Just came across a pic of KTM duke 125 in Bike India and I think FZ owners have an additional choice for tyres (Upsize tyres). The baby duke had a 150/60-17 MRF Revz-C rear tyre n 110/70-17 MRF Revz-FC front tyre in the pic.

no the gain of performance will not be exceptional it will only be marginal and if not down properly it can cause lot of hassles like improper jet size, improper air fuel ratio etc.

some of the people dont even feel the performance gain.....

3 options:

1. a new tank pad.
2. a tank bra.
3. change the black tank cover.

another far fetched option is if the scratches are just superficial then you can go for a rubbing compound polish. it will help to lighten up the scratches...

• Chain Cleaning & Lubing

Is it okay to use WD 40 to clean the chain and then lube it with a chain lubricant like motul? My chain has quite a bit of rust on it .. Anything to worry about / can be done about it?

Hi Kinshuk,

Can you explain? As per my discussion with Joel he said the increase in efficiency by 15% for FZ. Also can you explain the relation of jet size, air fuel ration with FFE? I'm planning to go for FFE hence asking.
Regards,
Abhijit
