FZ tank is of 12 litre, is it including the reserve of 1.4 litre?

When the bike is about to hit reserve there is no bar in the meter shows with the pump sign blinking?
Mine was showing 1 bar with blinking that means some petrol (1-2 litre) was there before hitting the reserve?

      2) Which is the best speed/RPM in each gear to get good millage?
      RPM 4K upshift 2K downshift

Is that mean if i am in 2nd and if RPM reaches 4k should i increase it 3rd ? also if i am in 3rd and RPM reachs 2k should i reduce it to 2nd? is my understanding correct ?

        • Trip to Mysore

Hey guys, I'm planning a solo trip from Bangalore to Mysore sometime soon and was wondering..is the bike capable of running at 90+ speeds the whole way without breaks? If not how often should I take breaks?I have had 1 trip before,at constant speeds between 105-120.. but I heard that the 150cc engine can't take so much stress..BTW I am on Agip FS oil ATM

            Hi Alto,
What you can do is, if you've doubt, then take the bike to SVC in reserve condition. Let them check. As fas as I remember, first time when the bike came to reserve, as Kinshuk said there were no bars but Petrol sign was blinking. Now it shows one bar when it hits reserve. Then I had to fill it 10Ltrs. to make the tank full.
            Regards,
            Abhijit

To get maximum mileage i would suggest you to ride below 4k rpm in 5th gear and with steady and slow acceleration
no sudden twisting to the throttle
                shift all gears between 3-3.5k

                5th gear 3k means speed is 40kmph
to get maximum mileage you can ride between 45 - 55kmph
                in 5th gear u reach 55kmph in 4k rpm
but remember the gear shifts should be smooth and correct and acceleration should be slow and steady
But when you ride like this there is no fun SPLENDOR MODE

Ohhh for God Sake what is the Matter with you ppl??? You buy a small compact, nimble bike and then you want to get fuel efficiency out of it??? lol.... this is craaazy!! I used to have an FZ and i get around 33-35 smashing and thrashing it around every corner i get... its a 150CC and trust me its the only kinda bike you get where you get to twist the throttle all the way to the end.. and still get 33kmpl.... so forget about econo riding... if thats what you want.... go buy some small Sh*t and be happy with it like a CT100 or some other small indian powered engine...

                    I wish i got 33 Kmpl... lol!!!!

have fun while you can!! Cheers!
WHo says you need a woman to feel what a ride is like???... get a bike instead!!! ***Honda Hornet**

Ive done Cochin-Bangalore and all above 110Km/h.Absolutely no probs.I had to take several stops to BLR since i wasn't comfortable with my excess luggage but on the way back i only took few major stops.
If your ride is well conditioned/service,you will be fine.

From my experience,Shinrai's service is really poor and ive always had good experience with PSN.Besides ive got a decent relationship with them so things go well.the staff is friendly enough.but nowadays i work with my personal mech to oversee all the work being done.
