  • I have a very curious doubt, I am 5 Feet 3 inch, I am riding Fazer and the seating position and my leg towards ground is comfortable.

But today I tried to drive my friends Pulsar 220 which I felt is very tall only my two leg toe was able to rest at ground. I feel worried but later my friend told all superbikes have less height from the ground compared to Pulsar even with FZ's ...

I wanted to know whether it is true ?

But if you go by the reviews of hiss FFE users, it gives you a lot more then you expect & people wonder how can just an FFE change radical ychange the performance so much..
Whatever it is, I just need a marginal boost in my top end which is approx 120 if stretched out completely & i need it to be somewhere around 130 atleast on speedo.. This might be acheiveable wit the FFE
bro can you tell me what is FFE

Sport bikes are abit bigger than the pulsars n FZ or Fazer... in height, length and width... That shouldnt worry you coz I had an Off road bike 750cc and am 5ft 9". I stand on both legs with my toes but on a single leg with my foot. And once the bike is on the move, that doesnt matter at all

Thats Free Flow Exhaust bro... if designed well, it increases the performance of your bike in terms of better throttle response and may be higher top end..

Even I need the top end for cruising all day effortlessly, but 120 kmph all day long effortlessly would be too optimistic dont you think ? Anyways, if thats possible with even a mod upto 15 k, i'm game for it
Baah.. i remember readin in one of his threads performance exhaust for.. something... where he had mentioned producing FFe for FZ, P220, Apache.. may be there was very little response ... anyways i am sure joel will come up with something real soon..

            cheers

I've been through his modofication thread completely & saw pics of Apache, P220, ZMA instaled with the FFE. There was a video too of a ZMA with FFE & the sound was freaking awesome. No reference of anywhere anyone getting an FFE for FZ series. Hope he does the miracle soon.

I am planning buy Turtle Wax, If you have used it please share your experiences and don't forget to mention the variant of the wax you have used.

                  Thanks

you can use premium petrol and without taking out the petrol already existing in the tank.. but in plain words you would be simply wasting extra cash for no reason....you won't see any performance gains.. FZ and other indian bikes have been designed to run on normal gas.

                    • Which Tyre Michelin or TVS??

Guys need help... which one would be a better tyre for off- roading?

Michelin SIRAC:findTyre - motorcycle.michelin.in (I am not too sure whether this woulf fit on the FZ rim!!)

                      or

                      TVS PANCER:TVS Tyres - Motorcycle > 120/80-17 PANCER

I guess in both the cases, i will have to remove the rear tyre hugger on me FZ. Sorry for coming up with the same lame question for the Leh trip preparation.

Sirac is better. Almost all P200s sports them here.

It will fit well, but wheel hugger should go off as you planned

                              • NO OFFENCE!!!

IF THE POWER OF YOUR FZ IS NOT SUFFICIENT, WHY DIDNT YOU GO FOR A POWERFUL BIKE LIKE R15, KARIZMA OR PULSAR 220?????????

My point is that no need of spending hell amount of money when their is an option of selling ur bike n getting a faster bike with the amount you were willing to spend on the FZ..

Every bike has advantages and disadvantages and as human beings, we don't appreciate what we have and always demand more( as bikers, we demand more speed , more ccs , more mileage ) also every bike was built for a specific purpose and to serve specified customers... Options are available.

I was asking in xrv.org.uk abt extra performance for my previous bike Honda XRV 750 Africa Twin and most of the replies were common to the first statement, that my bike was an adventure/off road bike so if i needed a faster bike, a sports bike or higher cc would be the best solution. Since that time, I follow and believe in those words..

Once you start modifying, its a disease that never stops till you end up spoiling the bike.
