All the exhaust systems will have a db cutter which will mute nearly 40-50% of the actual note. Unlike a "cap" like contraption that comes in the daytona kit, this is a proper muffling cartridge which will be inserted into the muffler to mute it and still retain most of the performance. However with the db cutter off, all the power gains will showup.

I will assure one thing to all the FZ owners here.
My upgrades will be ready in a month.
The goodies will be,
Free flow exhaust system - will give gains well over 10% with a decent nearly 10% bump in fuel efficiency (will be ready in 3-4 weeks) with DB cutter for street use. You can remove the db cutter for full performance when outside limits.
180cc bigbore block - will give over 15% bump in power and a very good bump in fuel efficiency.
CDI, larger carb, head upgrade, stock replacement airfilter etc will follow soon.

oh btw want me to lend my ride for the show case?! :PHoly moly.....the genius himself has confirmed it now.....Originally posted by nand15 View PostNow there's a piece of news we've all been waiting to hear ... simply amazing ... i guess we can start a long list of those willing to volunteer to lend their bikes for the showcase
This was like a silver lining to me for what had happened to me early today...(i lost my job today...our start-up failed)....
Even then i jumped with joy after reading this news.....at last FZ wont be only show and 'no go'. But nonetheless i am still happy that now some of the FZ's will be all 'show n go' too......
Am sorry to my fellow FZians if i was being a jerk earlier by saying that joel wouldnt make it for FZ...was going through a rough patch....
anyways CHEERS...........

I will probably build a showcase FZ to showcase the full potential of the FZ in terms of performance.
I have indeed already worked on an FZ engine already (quite radical) and that guy is quietly having fun without updating anywhere on the world wide web
. Fuel efficiency went up from 28-30kmpl to 40kmpl and performance was good enough to whoop an RTR 180.
Will indeed keep you all posted.
My brand - "Race Concepts" will have the entire line-up for the FZ-16/fazer-16

Yes, FZ's have NGK spark plug but its a normal one, not the performance one that you can get at Rs 550 approximately..Originally posted by Virus.patel View Posthey i got a small doubt ... does the fz-16 come with iridium spark plugs or not ?? becos i'm plannig to get the NGK iridium spark plug ...
i thought i'd add it after doing 12k...and is puttin a K&N worth ...considering mileage on one hand ??? help me out fellow fz ownerss !!!
Thank you
& go through air filter thread for K&N inquiries.. After going through the entire thread, I'm sure you won't consider going for it. Mileage increase with K&N is negligible or on negative side in some cases so don't expect the your beast (FZ) will impress you with mileage after K&N

I missed my 4th free service
..it was due 14 th March 2011...but my schedule is so tight that i cant make it to the service center...the next appointment i can take is for 26th March...
I spoke to Service Center guy on the phone..he said that i cant redeem my 4th free service coupon if im so late..now i dont mind going for a paid service..but the problem is..he say's that i have void my engine warranty for not carrying out the service on time..
this i feel is simply stupid..how does 20-30 kilometer's and certain days on the calender make any difference..the oil i checked is still transparent after my last service..( Ive done only 1400 Km in 5 Month's...not a keen rider)
Not everyone is free on the exact day of the service !..how can such a big company have such stupid policy ??
Any ideas on how to tackle this ?..Any other members in my situation ?

Had a really bad day on Friday.....here goes the story....
I was returning home from a friends party at around 11:30 PM. Roads were almost empty. I was driving besides a bus and then something came under the rear tyre of the bus & suddenly thump (a big noise) and I was all wet. I thought since it is holi after 2 days someone has planned to start it early by throwing it on road and which burst on me because of the rear tyre.
Immediately took my bike aside. My bike, Helmet (visor was down), Jacket, Gloves were all wet. Since my home was quite near I decided to drive. In 5 mins I reached home and then what I saw was a nightmare.
The liquid which was spilled on me was not water but it was OIL
. A complete bag of oil was splashed on me by the bus. When I tried parking my bike my disk brake were like non-existing. They were of no use. I was damn scared after looking at my bike and my condition.
The next day I planned to wash my bike. Took 3 sachets of shampoo and tried cleaning the disk first. Took around 30 mins to completely wipe off the oil from the disk. After that the turn for shampoo wash was of my bike.....another 30 mins and she looked better (but not good).
After that took a short 5 mins ride with front disk brake engaged so that if something is left it would be dried off. After the wash everything came to normal except the weird smell of oil which still exist.
From friday night I am cursing the guy who dropped the bag of oil on road and no one cared to pick it up. I think I was lucky that managed to avoid something worst.

if i am not wrong, you won't be entitled for the 1st service however, your bike will be going for the 2nd free service on the no. of free services (i.e 3000 kms) for your 1st servicing of your bike. I would recommend that you should try and get the servicing done on time.
Most of the riders don't pay heed to the fact that your bike has to be serviced either every 3000kms after the 1st service or within 170 days (i don't remember the exact date figure, kindly check the manual)... A lot of riders tend to wait for the kms to clock in and hence miss the service date...
