If manual says 1l then buy two cans and keep one for topping up. If you can get hold of veedol take off then go for it. It is a gem like oil at reasonable price. Also don't stretch these oils beyond 2500 kms. Drain it and fill fresh oil at 2.5k

Is it ok to fill just 900ml manual says 1liter ?

Thank you so much for reply
fill the amount that is mentioned in the manual.. its there for a reason. And 20w40 will not do any harm to the unicorn. Infact i've found it to be better especially if you ride a lot and in hot climates.
If you want an easy to find and a good quality 10w30 oil, look no further than honda's own engine oil. Get your oil changed at the SVC (if they refuse to sell you the oil) and ensure its from a sealed bottle not their drums. If you want to spend more and get a synthetic in 10w30, then get honda's throttle engine oil (generally used on the cbr's).. its relatively cheaper than other synthetics and is a good oil too.

Shell AX7 is really a good oil. Can be used easily upto 2.5k kms, make sure to check oil level at 1k kms.

All major OMC make 1ltr packs for bikes. Search their website and you will be able to find the one you want to use.

              Cheerz!!
The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Ax7 is good oil. You were searching for a 10w30 oil where as ax7 is 10w40. Ax7 is good if your running is on hot sunny days.

^This is their global range. Shell India offers AX7 in only one viscosity (10w40).

Honda itself doesn't make the oil in india. Yes it is made by Savsol(Savita chemicals)
Infact be it honda, hero, bajaj.. all of them have their 'brand' name on the oil.. but the actual manufacturers' are other oil companies such as savsol, veedol, hp etc..

After reading about 100 pages i came to know very common problems

                              1. Stock speedometer wire is not good quality (i changed in 3rd service)
                              2. Cold start (might be because of oil they now recommend 10w30)
                              3. Rear tail light assembly shakes and makes noise when bike goes over bumper or bumpy roads

I have got solution for 1st and 2nd however 3rd problem is still to be focused as to how to solve any idea ?

My bike was stranded in open ground from Feb till esterday.

Everything was jammed. Replaced a few things and got it 'serviced' from a mechanic. Put a lot of WD40 on everything.

The ride is roughest ever in four years. Its making noises 'Gad gad gad gad' taq taq ta gad taq while riding.

                                real issue now-

Mechanic told me carburator settings are tampered and fuel screw is jammed and half rusted. Impossible to turn in any way round.

                                1. I start my bike, its at 1.5K, the ride starts, when say Im in 2nd gear at 30 & I decide to change gear to 3rd and press clutch, immediately suddenly RPM goes upto 4K and beyond. I slowly release clutch and then it comes back to normal. This happens even when I plan to brake.

**Mechanic says this is because my clutch plates are gone, without even looking at it**

                                what Im thinking-

                                1. Should I buy a new carburator so I dont get this sudden 4K rpm issue and so that Air Fuel mixture is at factory setting?
                                2. Or is this sudden 4K beyond rpm due to clutch plates?
clutch wire changed 1K kms ago.
