Thank you for your POV. But dude let me tell you that the mech (or at least the one where I serviced the bike) was not that techie . You are not supposed to shoot your rpm beyond 5k during the runin period. But this guy pulled the throttle past 8k to check the bike while servicing I felt like thrashing him. Further, they even don't check the proper RPM for the bike so there is no question of tuning the air fuel mixture during the next service. I hope maybe the piston gets settled by 2000 km and i may be able to attain more top speed. PLEASE GUYS I WOULD LIKE EVERY 1 to POST their REVIEW ABT the TOP speed for their UNICORN and were they able to achieve it after their first service

Till that time they would keep it bit low for the piston rings to get set well ( this is what i have heard .Not that sure though - have experienced the same with my fiero . She is running in 103 kph now without any problem , But before she used to give 90~95 )

      Hope this helps

You mentioned that the oil change which cost me 320 was high . They said that its Honda Oil . Now if there is any way that i can reduce it in the next service .Please let me know

you get the best output once you are gone through with second service atleast. i remember i used to touch 124 (speedo) must be around 115 Max on a downhil crounched.

and these days i get aroung 110 easily.

its not required to run-in ur bike for 2k kms....jus for 500 to 600 kms is more than enough(there are a lot of ppl who disagree...but technically speaking u dont need)....google diff ways of run-in and u would know wat i am trying to explain....these days machining is very precise and the gap are set properly u need only to seat the rings which is done only by applying pressure..tat is short bursts and also u need to use the full rpm range once in a while....

The 1st 20 miles are very crucial in run-in u need to open the throttle wide sudden bursts everything.....i have proof for this too tat is my uni n my bros uni(v bought tat as a secondhand bike)... my uni can do 120 easily but whereas my bros uni wil do a max of 110kph in the same given stretch.....

my best is 128kph with a pillion fully crouched..

For run-in, just follow the manual guys... Honda definitely knows its stuff much better than individual researchers.

At my place, when I checked last, it was Rs. 170 for a litre, earlier Rs. 153, so I got a li'l being cheated feeling.. but, hearing from other people here, it sounds fine...

BTW, you must have got the bill, try writing to Honda...

Maybe, I screwed it, I don't bother reading manuals until something screws up or, I am already on the thing...

I could take my Uni to max. 102kmph... Maybe, the service station d00ds have tuned it for economy.. The road I tested it on, is very scary... though smooth, but lots of ups and down..

The second Uni you guys have, might be old, that's why? or, yours maybe too new? Honda people, indeed do further refinement to the new stickered editions, though they don't boast about it..

I wonder, run-ins are for just biker getting used to the bike and bike to the biker, or something more?

My Uncle says, these days bike are fully tested during the first 7-8kms (as shown in the bike'd odo before purchase), but still for safety they suggest to go for slower speeds in run-ins.. Dunno, what's true..

Gott agree with you there bro.. The last time i gave my Uni for service was 4 months ago.. If memory serves me right it was 175 Rs all inclusive for the engine oil..

Might have gone up now to 190 Rs.. But 320 seems ridiculous..
The only explanation i can think of is Honda bringing out a semi synth oil for their vehicles...

Thank you for all your views , sorry to say that i am not getting time at all to go to the Showroom and check the price . I am stuck with my job from past few days . Think that i should forget about this issue for the time being ( which irritates me all the time when thinking ) & will catch them at the next service , anyway i have the bill receipt .

Not so - it depends on in which bikes u put the Battery - For a remote to work properly the battey should be higher in capacity

I had remote on my P200 - no issues of any kind raised in electricals parts of the bike - no starting problem and nothing

It depends on how the electricals work and how good the remote is been fixed.....

Between in which Bike it was used ??????

                          1. Rear Brake light panel vibrations
                          2. Headlamp fairing vibrations and the Fairing mounting breaking off
No major repairs or problems what so ever....All in all a total value for money bike..

Do bikes with disc brakes have squeaking noises usually from the wheel?

I ran my uni over a dog at 60Kmph without stopping. It was quite a jolt and I landed the bike after a mini take-off [ i remembered Xbhp's earlier post on "Tank slap phenomenon" by heart i guess!]. I have heard squeaking noises from the front wheel ever since whenever i hold the clutch and let the engine quieten down on the move.

Or is my brake fluid empty? The brake fluid indicator tells me it is low, but the dealership service guy was adamant in saying the brake fluid is ok...

                            Any advise?

                              He Dude

Thank you for your advice , To talk about the remote i already fixed it and its been in use from past 1 month . It has gone through a regular service as well as a wash service no problems as of now . Here in Coimbatore its raining from past one week and my job is marketing , i do ride a lot .The bike is been kept in heavy rains ..No problems as of now . Was closely watching the service person install the package . The wires are been joint nicely and insulated with waterproof black insulation tape . Even the service people wont know that there are extra wires clogged inside . It comes with a rectangular box which is waterproof ( which makes the alarm noise ) . Now i don't think there is any reason for any sort circuit . There is no starting problem as such . My bike is new so is the battery . Don't know about the future .

Now said all this , as you have written its your experience . It dose scare me for sure then ( May be its one odd case or a faulty wiring ).I appreciate your concern though . What i will do is when i get some free time , will get a mech check the wiring once again for more safety other than that frankly speaking all that i can do now is Pray , since i have spend the money already .
