What is the price of this equipment I checked the official web site for this product through the link that you gave me but it just had contact numbers for the regional office.

Thank you for your advice , To talk about the remote i already fixed it and its been in use from past 1 month . It has gone through a regular service as well as a wash service no problems as of now . Here in Coimbatore its raining from past one week and my job is marketing , i do ride a lot .The bike is been kept in heavy rains ..No problems as of now . Was closely watching the service person install the package . The wires are been joint nicely and insulated with waterproof black insulation tape . Even the service people wont know that there are extra wires clogged inside . It comes with a rectangular box which is waterproof ( which makes the alarm noise ) . Now i don't think there is any reason for any sort circuit . There is no starting problem as such . My bike is new so is the battery . Don't know about the future .

Now said all this , as you have written its your experience . It dose scare me for sure then ( May be its one odd case or a faulty wiring ).I appreciate your concern though . What i will do is when i get some free time , will get a mech check the wiring once again for more safety other than that frankly speaking all that i can do now is Pray , since i have spend the money already .

facing prob with uni replson version.....

well some one just pointed a draw back
                1.] the fairing breaks off

                so heres my prob
my frnd (prob the best 1) owns a uni lmt edison replsol version
                he is encountering these probls
n i hope ppl here can really help us out(as after him i m only the person who ha ridden it the most)

                1. the fairing has come off n is hanging like hell, for now have fixed it with feviquick.the dealer says we'll have to shell out 1.6k to get a new one.
n the fairing didnt came out suddenly ,it was somewhat loose n came off in a port hole.

2.the rear shocker has dumped ,they say they'll have to replace it ,it would cost 2.5k.i dont know how can a honda product show prob so early.

3.the front shock is also not working properly.in evry porthole the lower end of viser is nearly touching the mud guard.

4.the disk dont have the same bite like they used to have earlier.the pads were changed just 3 months ago but the bike has lost its essence.

5.the bike is returnig a real poor mileage of 40-45kmpl .but theres no as such vibration from the engine, its very smooth only slightly rougher than when it was new.we are filling it mostly with 91 octane petrol.

the bike is 10k ks old.
has been regularly serviced, is performing realy good even now reaches a top whack of 120 with pillion n crouching.
has been maintained properly with regular cleaning.
no modification has been carried out, the bike is all stock.

plz advice on what can be done.
                thanks in advance.........

1.really cant help u have to get a new fairing...may be it was a defective piece but no 1 will listen to it..
2.My uni which has run for 51k kms rear shocks are still doing good but my brothers unicorn which has done just 15k kms was dumped....so claimed for warranty by sending a mail...but he told if there is any leak in the shockers it wil be covered under warranty otherwise u have to change...
so again 1 in a few 1000 pieces are defective so jus check if there is any leak then go for warranty or pay 2.5k and geta new one...
3.that is common dude in a unicorn since the fairing is very low....if the problem is severe try changing fork oil once use motul fork oil is it is very good...
4.Again its a common problem its not very sharp as u have already changed the pads jus do bleeding properly and top-up brake fluid...
5.if ur bike is returning 45kmpl then its a very good mileage ur getting...use normal fuel ur bike doesnt need 91 octane fuel..if ur very serious abt mileage ride slowly shift below 5k rpm....dont use brakes very often..

The problems wat u have mentioned is very common in a unicorn...dont worry dude jus enjoy....watever u do u cant come out of this problems take it for sure....

                    aah..............thnkx for d prompt rply
                    really thnkx
as for waranty ,it had expired n has not been renewed, our fault.

braik fluid is checked regularly n is topped up regularly.
but they are worse than a drum brake n uknow uni has dumb rear brake also so its a gr8 problem.

n regarding mileage.-it earlier used to give above 50 n i m srry in stating its 30-35.we both are no hard revver n shift gear b/w 3-4.5k not more than that.
n 91 octane is just lyk a hobby to us.........atleast it gives us feeling like bikes performing better(even its not)just to give gud in a way.

I quite disagree to what Pradeep had to say about the unicorn. I have a unicorn and its 6 months new, and my cuz has a unicorn which is about 4 years and 42K kms old. Comparitively, apart from the engine noise and brakes, there is no other difference. the smoothness is the same, mileage is the same, shocks (both front and back) are exactly the same. Only difference I see is that the plastic cowl above the taillight is a little loose and disc braking is poor on the older unicorn. But that is natural is a normal wear-n-tear issue and is expected to occur over time. The noise from the older engine is a little louder then the new one, but there is absolutely no vibration anywhere in the older unicorn.

I think Pratik's bike just seems like a lemon. Either that, or the rider doesnt know how to ride (which I think is unlikely).

                      That's my 2 paise.

@prajwalkashyap:wen did i say tat old unicorn is not good in comparison with a new unicorn...
i have 2 unicorns both brought onthe same month it is a 2006 model...but mileage clocked is very high in 1 and less in the other 1...i didnt compare it with a older and newer versions...
but the 1st gen unicorn engine is very smooth compared to new gen uni..

@pratik.pat:mileage jus check tyre pressure,clean/change airfilter,sparkplug...check if carb is clogged due to dust or some impurities in fuel...tune it properly with the help of proper mech...also change the place u fill fuel...

91 octane fuel doesnt give u any power it is required for bikes with high compression for our uni u dont need tat....normal fuel is more than sufficient...

brakes u have to live with tat....jus clean it very often using a smooth sandpaper for rear drum...it works fine for me...disk also u can try the same....

NICE TRY BUT DO you Really HAVE A NEW UNICORN

DUDE cumon do u really think we guyz r that DUMB

COZ u say that the problem is with the UNI REPSOL model and then you say that 4.the disk dont have the same bite like they used to have earlier.the pads were changed just 3 months ago but the bike has lost its essence.

DUDE I too have a new unicorn its 50 DAYS old but it is not the REPSOL version so practically the REPSOL VERSION was launched after my purchase so how can you change the disc pads 3 months ago. Even if we agree that you do have a REPSOL unicorn and have changed the pads 3 months ago that means that your bike was delivered even prior 2 that WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE.

                                Hi all

Hearing to the problems what uni has . If its a new bike then its really bad thing to happen anyone . But to be frank as we all know there is no bike thats is perfect and one should be really lucky to get a bike without even the slightest problems . Some one was talking about the engine noise difference between the old one and the new one , Trust me bro there is no change in the engine of the 2005 uni as well as the 2008 uni . Now that being the case where dose the difference come .Its because of ware and tare and the way the bike is been used . ( My view and experience - Not to offend any one around )

Talking about the break fluid and pads i think there is been some upgrades in past 3 years .One would find the disk break of new versions better than the older versions .Other than that there is only cosmetic changes in the bike .

The fairing problem .. I also heard about the same , but trust me there are many uni's which dose not have that problem .

To conclude : One should be little unlucky to get such problems in the bike . We all love bikes and it dose heart but at times cant help it .We have to live with it .

My Uni is just done 850 km and dont have any problems yet .I hope the same to continue. Lets see .
