Yes that's decent. The bearings are cheap. Get all the three bearings changed won't be more than 600 for the entire job. Nothing wrong with riding. May be road conditions are bad and the bearings were not greased properly.

Don't worry get them changed and keep on riding.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but is 25K kms good life for the bearings? or does any of my riding habit made it go kaput soon?
The service is in about 1500 Kms, can I ride the bike safely till then or it has to be changed urgently?

Just wanted to know if any of my riding habits are wrong so that I can change and improve myself..

Also any approx. idea about the cost of above?

Your sprocket carrier bearingand/or wheel cushion dampers are gone. Get them changed.

Folks, I'm facing strange problem in my 2014 V2. The bike is run 25K kms, serviced regularly and is healthy.
For the past few hundred kms, there is a "TUKK" sound at the rear sprocket (I think) whenever I start to ride from standstill. There are no jerks in the power, no harshness or anything, just a loud "Thud" sound every time I start moving from the standstill.

The chain slack is good, it is cleaned properly and lubed. The sprockets have been checked for hooks or wear and tear, and to my un-professional eye, everything looks normal. No hooking of the sprocket, no wear and tear, chain is clean, lubed and balanced. And still for the life of me I can't figure out where the noise is coming from.

And this only happens when I ride slowly. Aggressive acceleration from the stand still does not produce the noise, or maybe the engine and wind noise drowns it, not sure.

Does anyone have any advise?

Clean the injector and add cleaning additive to the tank and flush the engine. I flush the engine at every 10 k kms. I do find its so early for flush but there is good amount of acceleration after flushing. Odo on my bike is 49K

hello guys after a long time..been meaning to ask something for 3-4 months but laziness though !!

for some months now i feel that my bike's revs/engine feeling (at mid RPMs and higher) has become a bit too un-smooth/vibey, sometimes sounding quite uncomfortable, and that's a bother because it happens even when the engine oil's not old and when the chain is well clean and lubed, tyres in required pressure, good amount of fuel in the tank, recently cleaned air filter, good level of coolant and etc...and the feeling of more vibey-ness and then less and then more again sequence often happens in just one ride itself, with no change in my practices of acceleration...is this normal for a ~30k kms old bike or should i get something internal checked ?

for info, in nearly 30k kms, nothing really "internal" about the bike has ever been done anything about...no tappets adjustment, no gearbox checks, nothing..perhaps some of these things ought to be checked and overhauled if needed at this stage of the bike's life ?

maybe it's all trivial, but it's not just in my mind...have been noticing this somewhat more vibey feel and the general mood-swinging nature of the bike for many months now, which is also one of the reasons i didn't ask about it earlier to ensure it's not merely in my mind...i intuitively feel that perhaps engine oil or fuel or something isn't being flown around fully properly at times..hopefully not so.

edit - the fuel injector was cleaned two years ago i think (maybe more)..that's the only "internal" job done on my bike so far.

After a so long time i am posting a very useful DIY for my 2016 R15 S.

Many R15 S/v2 rider facing frequent rear swing arm greasing issue. Its tuff job to grease it at home or pay in thousand at yamaha service centre.
I make this change to grease it easily.

Yes the coolant and water ratio is still the same 80% water and 20% of castrol radicool concentrate

Smallish review/health report from my side.
Odo reading 136000(around 11000 on first meter which was changed under warranty)
The condition of the bike was very bad after I last posted on the forum. Coolant kept on going down although the drop rate was a bit less still it was puzzling. Opened the pump assembly couldn't find any thing wrong with it. So almost came to the conclusion that the head gasket has met it's maker or there is a minor crack in the cylinder head. I have always used a weird combination of coolant where almost 80% of the mixture is distilled water and 20% is coolant so that could have caused the evaporation too as the boiling point wouldn't have increased by much because of less quantity of coolant. Was ready to open the engine to check for these but then the coolant started to drop drastically
Like entire radiator and reservoir used to get empty within 3 days of refilling. Opened the pump assembly and found the seal to be chewed up completely. Also there was like 500 ml of water in the air box signifying a leaking cooling system. No absurd smell or anything from the exhaust hinted that the head and head gasket should be fine. Changed the oil seal still the coolant was drying up. Opened the pump again and found a crack had developed in the pump which broke off the pump when I tried taking out the seal for the 2nd time. Replaced the entire pump assembly seal bearing impeller, packing etc. Got the bike in running condition and was able to ride it for some 100 kms when another problem cropped up. The bike used to overheat and fan used to be turned on for longer durations. Also the bike used to stop whenever the bike overheated and refused to start until it cooled down. Checked the thermostat and found it had broken off into 2 parts and had lodged itself into the cage nicely providing no passage for coolant whenever the temperature increased. This explained the heating up but couldn't explain the stopping of the bike. A rat had bitten off a part of my wiring harness that went to the throttle body 5 years back. It had been repaired with a piece of wire and taped up. That part had grown fungus kind of thing and it didn't work when current was passed through it. Got the wire replaced with a new wire and wrapped it with heat shrink tubes. As for the thermostat I removed the thermostat altogether so that the bike gets adequate coolant flow all the time. The downside will be that engine will take time to warm up when it's cold but where I stay that's less of an issue.

So this has been a short synopsis of the last few harrowing months.
Rest all are stock. Engine still unopened. Compression readings are manageable so it looks as if it has some more thousands of life left.
Cone set is a pain and iam going for desi maal cone sets next time. They cost 20% of what an oe cone set costs and guys say lasts almost similarly.
Brakes were overhauled ( pistons and seals changed) some months back and they bite like a rabid dog now. Could be something to do with the steel lines I use on both (p220 for front, duke 200 for rear) the brakes.
Using diesel engine oil now. Rimula R4 hdeo 15w40. Costs 300 bucks and suits my drain habit of 1200-1500 kms. Feels same as motul 5100 ,but again feel is like a promiscuous partner. With you this moment and gone the next. So the oil suggestion is upto you and iam in no way responsible if somebody tries it and grenades his engine parts . Iam willing to take the risk myself.

I have used osram silverstar thats the cheapest upgrade on my R15 , little mod I did was to connect both bulbs in Low beam ..
And then adjust the beam throw ..
Mostly you gonna be using High beam as it wide and pointed in the center . Exactly whats needed on mountain roads.

As VJ suggested you can give a try to osram nightbreaker .
I am using phillips xtreme visions on CBR250 and found it to be good low beam is more longish now .
