All 3 engines of impulse, unicron and crf150f have different bore x stroke and compression ratios. Although the nxr 150 bros and the crf150f share the same engine specs.

On an interesting note, this crf150f engine is found on a bike called cg150 Titan, seemingly a parallel to teh unicorn, and whose headlight looks suspiciously like the gs150r here.

Is "Mahim Fortpoint" a Hero Motto dealer??? The khuckle guard that "Mahim Fortpoint" has are the one for Impulse only???

I also understood from other forum that Impulse has the same engine of Honda CRF150F. It is also said that Honda Unicorn also shared the same engine of CRF150F. Is it true???
I think rick was referring to "Performance Racing" which is in Tardeo. You can find the contact details here: Performance Racing Store. Contact Us

        Congrats guys !!!

        Hi All,

Congrats to all those who have rode/booked their impulse.

Most of the roads here in chennai are like offroading only . That too after a heavy rain, the roads will be full of water. Couple of weeks before when i rode my TBTS with stock silencer thru a road filled with water (i had no other choice to go back home after night shift), i almost had my hearts out .

Considering the conditions prevailing in chennai, this bike seems to be quite a handy one.

Moreover, i personally feel that a bike like this one will help me keep engaged for atleast an year. Am saving money for big bikes , in the mean time, this one seems to be of quite an interest to me.

Let me have a test drive and decide...will keep you all posted after my test drive.
Yamaha Gladiator DLX - Jan 2007 - 23K Kms up and running ...
RE TBTS - May 2011 - 14K Kms up and running...
        Next ???

So the bore x stroke of Impulse is not exactly same to any of the other bike of Honda. But however I think the other parts of engine are same as Unicorn. Correct me if I am wrong. What about the gear box of Impulse?? Has it got the same gear ratio of Unicorn or Hunk, any idea???

No idea about gearbox. But I guess from the bore x stroke difference and from the way the bike makes power, that a whole lot of other things like crank shaft, counter weight, intake\exhaust ports diameter\path shape, cams, timing chain, etc etc could also be changed.

I would guess that there are only few parts shared between these machines but Im no engineer to say anything for sure. Open it up and let us know.

You might get to know how much of the engine is shared if you came across the service manual or the spares manual.

no. they are not tubeless. so the fear of punctured tube remains during long rides. but beleive me they do their duty perfectly for which they are designed for. just take a test ride on smooth termac and dusty broken roads and you will know that they are not only for show but function also.

You don't want tubeless on an offroad bike. Offroad tires are tubed for a few reasons. First spoked wheels, you can't have tubeless spoked wheels well you can BMW have them but the rim would cost more than the Impulse. Spoked wheels are the best for off road because they flex, alloy rims crack and once they crack they are garbage. Spoked wheels can take a lot of abuse and can be straightened, they can also run a tubed tire while bent, enough to limp home or can be banged back into good enough shape to get you home, I've done it. Tubed tires are easy to change once you know how and spares can be carried without taking up to much room. I hear there is no center stand but there are tricks for this in field as well.

Yes, until you are not in mud / water .
