Wish you good luck on munching miles with your beloved Duke for a long time

20W-50 is the engine oil grade (which is thicker grade & is the same for most Pulsar's & Ninja 250R); go through the owner's manual as much as possible. You'll educate yourself more everytime you go through it. Also go through the list of parts that needs to be checked with every service (like airfilter, engine oil filter, plugs, battery etc) & see if anything is printed behind your free service coupons.

PS - Remove Sir & just address Aargee or simply RG
yes, I have already started going through the manual! and thank you so much !!

Thank you samschenker, the pdf will come in handy. The one supplied with the bike is tiny. The photos are barely visible.

Fuel Economy update: The meter tells me I am getting 39Kmpl, i've seen it go up to 40!! which is not bad at all. Never crossed 50. Check photos, here are some more, including night shots. 20Kms done today.
Mine shows 36kmpl, I got out of the showroom around 2pm and the odo shows 72 kms already!
When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D

Not much traffic on a Sunday afternoon.
But, it isn't difficult to remain in top gear (I was in 6th about 80% of the time). The bike is quite smooth in 6th gear even at 30~35 kmph.

Brakes are quite strong. After the my drive, I feel one can brake later and from higher speeds compared to an FZ.

Tyre grip seems good. The manual recommends a run in of about 200 km for the tyres to get to optimum grip state.

front brake has good bite although i like ninja's front brake more.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
            #overkill is underrated.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Then i believe the bike might capable of delivering even better FE with something like 70 KmpH @ 6th Gear. Read in some other forum that the cockpit is showing 48 KmpL. But one thing is clear that it definitely would deliver more than 30 kmpl which is good enough for most of us

Yeah! Infact a good strategy adopted by KTM/ Bajaj. If bikes can occasionally cross 40 KmpL, consumers are highly satisfied with the holistic product.
Also, the owner in his description has written the riding conditions which pretty much suits the short tours of < 100 kms. (Assuming his description is correct )

So is it not a touring bike ? and it cannot be taken on highways for 300-400 kms a day ?
