How would you know what lot your bikes are from?
Here in Bangalore - its still story telling time! The first deliveries are expected to happen on Wednesday. But don't know if they will come up with new stories.
Waiting for Wednesday here!
. I asked the manager and he said two lots have arrived, and mine was from the first lot . :|
Yes sir, you probably don't remember.Originally posted by aargee View PostDid I
BTW, what engine oil grade is used? I hope to look into the owner's manual myself. Can't wait to read one.API SG/SL JASMO MA, MA-1 20W50. I am not sure sir if this is what you wanted to know because I have no idea what engine oil grade is.Originally posted by aargee View Postthe Duke would do just fine

Thanks, and I did ask him and he said the powerparts and powerwear will arrive by the end of march and he also confirmed that all the stuff made for 200 duke will be made available.Originally posted by ashish_mishra06 View Posthey Guys congrtz for ur dukes firstly, Did you ask about the powerparts when you got your bikes?
they just have about 12 powerparts/powerwear for sale in India? Did you guys inquire about those?
When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D

At KMARG mumbai they said We will let you know about the powerparts and the prices...then I asked him when would that be? Then he knew I was gonna keep giving him the peoples eyebrow till he gave me the exact date :-D He finally caved and said it would be by the middle of March only.Originally posted by ashish_mishra06 View Posthey Guys congrtz for ur dukes firstly, Did you ask about the powerparts when you got your bikes?

Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

Oh!!! Ok; I really don't remember as there're many PM's & post that I don't keep trackOriginally posted by Abhishek2255 View PostYes sir, you probably don't remember
Wish you good luck on munching miles with your beloved Duke for a long time
20W-50 is the engine oil grade (which is thicker grade & is the same for most Pulsar's & Ninja 250R); go through the owner's manual as much as possible. You'll educate yourself more everytime you go through it. Also go through the list of parts that needs to be checked with every service (like airfilter, engine oil filter, plugs, battery etc) & see if anything is printed behind your free service coupons.Originally posted by Abhishek2255 View PostAPI SG/SL JASMO MA, MA-1 20W50. PS - Remove Sir & just address Aargee or simply RGLast edited by aargee; 02-27-2012, 08:53 PM.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

@Abhishek2255 I calculated, it was brought from Vasant Vihar and they said a few kms for the PDI so 16kms it was!!
Thank you samschenker, the pdf will come in handy. The one supplied with the bike is tiny. The photos are barely visible.
Fuel Economy update: The meter tells me I am getting 39Kmpl, i've seen it go up to 40!! which is not bad at all. Never crossed 50. Check photos, here are some more, including night shots. 20Kms done today.

Going by the speedo accuracy we have already witnessed, I am forced to trust it.
I'm so looking forward to get my hands on the bike now.
Thinking out loud: I really need to get the rim tape as soon as I get the bike. Wheels look a bit too bare

Barely 24 hours past and already onto Page 6???
Thank you all for making Duke owners feel like celebs.
Powerparts/Powerwear will be available by later half of March as per KTM South Delhi. I would know because I've been pestering them quite a lot about some decals and especially a helmet.
Fuel RON seems to be a concern of many, but, in places where BS III/IV norms are in place, I believe regular petrol is 91, which is the same as is recommended in the owner's manual. To be on the safer side I too am sticking with premium fuels.
Tank capacity is on the lower side. I refueled about 50 m from the showroom, and the tank topped off at Rs. 500 (IOC Xtra Premium), sorry, forgot to check the volume.
During the ride home the MFD was showing 29~31 kmpl.

a whopping 40 kmpl, that's great.feeling pity for another lord of the street fz with 14 ps power and more or less same mileage figure, wondering how much pulsar 200 ns will give a whopping 50Originally posted by spiralbrain View PostFuel Economy update: The meter tells me I am getting 39Kmpl, i've seen it go up to 40!! which is not bad at all.
