Rev limiter - I think mine is still at 10.5k or so - cos it did not redline when I revved it up to 8k (just once). Will have to get it set to 7500 tomorrow.
    Congratulations sir .!
And there is no cut off at 7.5k rpm, if you want to adjust the blinker, it can be easily done with the help of the manual
Even I find it easier to shift to neutral from second gear, also the hand grips are hard indeed, I have their impressions on both my hands
When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D

LOL, Nowadays I give out arbitrary numbers as mileage for my bike. I had a First generation pulsar 180, and now an Avenger 180 DTSi. Whenever someone asks me mileage I chose a random number between 40 and 50.

      • Hi guys, Max here! New to the forum. Been a hardcore bulleteer for several years, but have instantly fallen in love with the Duke. Have been through the posts and I guess the Duke 200 should make a decent touring machine! Even mileage figures posted seem fairly decent.

Yes there was no cut off on my bike too. Thanks to santosh443 - its a simple thing to do - just press and hold the Mode button - the display will show RPM 10000 - keep pressing the Set button - to a number of your choice and leave it - it will come back to its original screen. Try revving - once it reached the number you have set - the red light glows!

Welcome to xBhp Max. There's no reason why Duke can't tour. Touring is more about the rider than about the ride

Except that it was fun to leave the other bikes puffing and panting to catch up from signal stops. And to occassional "Imported bike hai kya?" besides the omni-potent question "what is the mileage?" I think the respect for the biker is inversely proportional to the cost of bike & the mileage it offers
BTW, how much mileage did u get in that ~60 kms stint? (except the 30 kmpl which u stated)

i am just stating what i heard from a distance of say 20-30 mtrs .. probably when one is riding.. the sound and the experience is completely different... i am indeed curious of the reports post 5k kms ownership experience of the riders... good to hear from the first lot that the bike does what it claims.. pure ecstasy!! I am sure just like Ninja... the guys at Bajaj & KTM will keep a strong and watchful eye on the 1st batch for any niggling problems cropping up.. which incase of Honda CBR took ages (No offense to any of the owners).

                    All the best

                    Cheers
