The company is marketing the bike as a "street bike". That's a positioning done to attract specific set of consumers. Now can a street bike be used for touring? surely it can be! But as it looks like, this bike scores low on rear seat, tank capacity, fiber outer body etc as compared to present touring bikes.Originally posted by shamanthnv View PostSo is it not a touring bike ? and it cannot be taken on highways for 300-400 kms a day ?
If to be answered in Yes or No, the answer is Yes but with some conditions applied

Saw one rider today with a Duke 200. The idle sound is bit of a let down, sounded like a scooty... however i believe post run - in we should get actual details about its overall performance figures of this machine.
All the best riders..

Like a scooty? That's odd most of the major car& bike magazines have touted the duke as having a rorty exhaust note...I personally have take 3 test rides on the thing but to be honest I was hardly ever on idle!!! But I don't remember it sounding like a scooty :-DOriginally posted by shv18 View PostSaw one rider today with a Duke 200. I currently own a FI bike. I can run as low as ~1L in the tank, beyond which bike starts misfiring occasionally indicating low fuel. I think similar will be the lower limit for Duke as well. 4L will be a rather difficult level to maintain with Duke keeping in mind the puny tank capacity.Originally posted by ASSASSIN07 View Post@ owners:
What is the minimum amount of must have fuel in tank? Somewhere is read its 3-4 Lts
!
Is that true?
PS: Where are the owners? Too busy riding eh?

Most FI bikes mandate a minimum level of 4 litres in the tank for the fuel pump to work optimally....Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

So misfiring is the only downside of low fuel in the tank? Can it cause damage to the engine?Originally posted by shreeda View PostI currently own a FI bike.
