To get the insurance, i was told that i have to leave the bike in the service centre, the technicians will prepare estimate on cost of repair and then they will call the insurance company. The insurance guy will inspect the damage and approve for the estimate. then once after the repair is done i will have to pay the entire cost. later i can claim the same (wait till end) from the insurance company. Now, insurance means you will not get the entire amount. I was informed that it depends on part of your bike which is damaged. depending on which Insurance company will give us the claim in percentage. For eg if it fibre then 60% of the repair cost will be reimbursed. total process will take time for 4 days to 1 week. I was so impatient to part with my bike and didnt agree to leave the bike there. So i asked them to check fork only, which i am still in doubt whether hey have done or not. Fortunately the damage is not so severe, so i can still live with it. No proble. i can feel little pain in the left arm which was not before that accident.

The top end is very good.. I have done 140 max till date.

                Ideal cruising speed is 90-100kmph

mileage in city varies from 35-40 kmpl

make sure they change oil,oil filter, clean the air filter elements, lube the chain, adjust chain slackness, adjust clutch play, brakes.ask them to do anything you feel should be done.

Mate, congrats on the booking and wish you happy mile munching future.
And I am happy to know that you are concentrating more on the safety and not neglecting it like other teenagers do. Kudos to you for that thinking.

However, you are still 17 and by the country's law, you cannot ride a geared vehicle because you won't be entitled to have a driving license unless you are 18. Safety is the prime requirement, but yes, we cannot take the law in our hands. If your birthday is near, then wait till that time, get yourself good riding gear and a valid driving license which you should be getting within a month of applying for it.

After that I am sure you would be with your babiest CBR.
                    Regards,

I own R15 v2. I have also ridden cbr 150 as well as cbr 250.

All the above machines are awesome piece of engineering.
We should know how to extract the most out of it.
R15 has better acceleration and handling than 150r but we should adapt to sporty riding position so that it doesn't hurt on long rides.
cbr 150r has smooth engine with linear acceleration, but it is hard to ride inside city as even apaches and pulsar vrooom ahead in lower speeds putting cbr 150r to shame. But in highways the case is different.
cbr 250r is best VFM bike and that would be the bike I would buy after marriage because pillion in R15 v2 is a nightmare for girls.

                        • My baby CBR completed 1 month today and i went through my first service. I have ridden 533 km on my baby. Here is a short review of my month old CBR:

                          Design and equipments:
I own the vibrant orange version of CBR and it surely is a head-turner in a big way. Every traffic light you stop, you have several eyes glued upon youurself. The build quality is good. The switchgear is a big disappointment for me as a pass light is much needed in indian conditions. The quality of switches is also poor. Overall CBR 150r scores a good 8/10 in this account.

                          Engine:
I don't need to say a lot in this part as this is where Honda is at home. The DOHC 150 cc engine is the best engine out there. It is butter smooth and the sound it produces after 5k rpm, is music to ears. The vibes are minimal even when ridden above 7k rpm. The engine has been tuned for good performance while returning a decent mileage. The bike has returned around 40-42 kmpl
in city riding conditions. The low end torque is a sore point as u need to shift gears at low speeds. But once you get used to it, this bike is just a lethal weapon. Here it scores a very good 9/10 for me.

                          Gearbox:
The gearbox is well matched to the engine. The 6 speed gearbox is a charm and performs well. It does sometimes hit false gears while down-shifting but that will surely go away after a couple of services. The CBR 150r scores a good 8/10 in this department.

                          Service and Maintenance:
I went through my 1st service today and it cost me 1350 bucks including 2-time teflon coating ( I paid 600 towards it), which is quite good considering the premium bike it is. The service staff took special care of the CBR and addressed every small issue i faced. The service was fast and on time. All in all a perfect 10 in this dept.

I will like to urge all the CBR 150r owners to write to the company regarding the switchgear so that at least we have an option of getting the CBR250R switchgear in our bikes, if not geting a replacement.

Now that i m done with the initial 500km of my bike, i will ride it hard to check its top whack and hope to get down writing my experiences soon.

Till then ride hard and ride safe. ENJOY!!!

top speed knocked ny a friend of mine is 144kmph.

i am not sure about the ideal cruising speed.

no back aches at all and no wrist pains also.but few riders complained of having wrists pains intially but once you get used to the bike you dont feel any pain.

in mixed city conditions i got a mileage of 43 which i cheked using full tank method...
and in highway it gives something near by 50(not the exact figures)

green has a good road presence but its common now om indian roads as you get to see the same combination on fzs which are in huge numbers in any city

                              • I called my Honda showroom for the delivery of my CBR150R(Green). They said that they got all the three colours expect the green one. So i'll have to wait another half month. I couldn't pass that one month time they asked me to wait to get the bike. I dont know how i am going to pass this 15 days time. While the others cruising over the city. Jealous of them xD
